This gives people who don’t really understand racing a feeling that everyone else is just not good enough, that they simply can’t keep up with Qin Miao, and don’t have the ability to compete with Qin Miao on the track.
The moment Qin Miao saw these comments, he was completely dumbfounded. He hadn’t done anything! He only posted one comment on Weibo, so where did all these haters come from?
Moreover, the way they attacked him was like the silly beauty of underdeveloped brains. Their angles of attack were so novel that Qin Miao was amazed at the low intelligence of the commenters.
But even though this comment section was quickly flooded with criticisms, after all, anyone who knows a little about F2 knows that no one in F2 is worse than anyone else; anyone lacking ability simply couldn’t have made it up from F3.
Moreover, Qin Miao’s ability to break the track record at Red Bull Ring during the qualifying rounds proves that Qin Miao has real strength.
Even though he knew these people were groundlessly criticizing him, Qin Miao still felt a bit uncomfortable after seeing it, which diminished his zeal to continue reading the comments.
After dinner, he played games for a while and then began his usual rest routine.
Before going to bed, Qin Miao had already envisioned himself dominating the race the next day.
However, the next morning, when Qin Miao, with his head buried in Qimeng’s chest, opened his eyes, he noticed something was wrong.
The air conditioner in the hotel room had turned off automatically. The gentle hum, which could be considered white noise, was no longer present, yet the room didn’t feel stuffy; instead, there was a refreshing coolness.
Qin Miao was a little dazed for a moment, then felt a sense of foreboding rise in his heart.
He lifted his head from between the two peaks, and without bothering to put on clothes, he rubbed his eyes and went to the window. Pulling back the curtains, the entire world unfolded before him.
The sky was gloomy, white clouds shrouding the mountain peaks surrounding the Red Bull Ring track, with gray rain screens clearly visible at the junctions between the mountains and clouds. The entire forest, washed by water, appeared cleaner and greener, giving it a fairytale kingdom-like illusion.
The Red Bull Ring, which was sunny just yesterday, was raining today.
And Qin Miao was quite troubled by today’s rain.
With the help of the system, Qin Miao had developed in every dimension of moral, intellectual, physical, and aesthetic education, and coupled with his natural talent, Qin Miao quickly grew to a superhuman level. Racing in F2 now felt as easy as eating and drinking water.
Yet, among his closely guarded strengths, Qin Miao had a shortcoming, which was his Rain Combat Ability.
Both Ferrari and Prema Racing knew about Qin Miao’s shortcoming, as internal team tests included tests specifically for drivers’ Rain Combat Ability.
In these tests, Qin Miao was absolutely a struggling hand, often being humorously called a landlubber.
But there was nothing to be done. Qin Miao’s talent in racing seemed to have been focused on dry tracks; in rainy conditions, it felt like he was shackled, unable to drive fast no matter what.
Even though Qin Miao had undergone specialized training in this area, his achievements were not very satisfactory.
Of course, Qin Miao’s weak Rain Combat Ability is only weak compared to his other abilities, and when people call him a landlubber, seven parts humor, three parts regret.
Because Qin Miao’s improvement in Rain Combat Ability was markedly slower compared to his other racing capabilities.
However, Qin Miao’s weak Rain Combat Ability also prevented the Prema team from mythologizing him; having flaws meant that Qin Miao was at least still human.
"Take it easy." As Qin Miao stood by the window, lost in thought while watching the rain outside, Qimeng, wearing Qin Miao’s pajamas, came to his side, gently holding his big hand with her small hands, and comforted softly, "Honey, I believe in you. In my heart, you’ll always be the most amazing one, and with your defense abilities, no one could break through your defense before you make a mistake."
"So during the race, you just need to ensure you don’t make any mistakes." Qimeng said earnestly, "After all, you’re Qin Miao, a star of F2 Formula, the future rising star of the Ferrari F1 team. I believe a bit of rain won’t have too much impact on you."
Honestly, Qimeng’s comfort came at a perfect time because considering his contract with Ferrari, Qin Miao knew that if he wanted privileges that other F1 drivers didn’t have in the paddock, he had to show the strength worthy of those privileges.
But rain battles weren’t his strong suit, so Qin Miao, just out of bed, felt a sense of gain and loss, unsure if he could maintain his dominance over other competitors once the race started like he did in dry conditions.
After listening to Qimeng, Qin Miao felt much more at ease.
Not because Qimeng’s words lifted a burden from his heart, but because Qin Miao thought, even if he doesn’t race well, his points won’t be surpassed by the second place anyway, and isn’t Zhou Guanyu behind him?
Zhou has good Rain Combat skills. If Qin Miao really couldn’t adapt to the rainy track and couldn’t make speed, he could just let Zhou Guanyu pass and act as a wingman, securing a position for Zhou Guanyu.
Besides, in a rain battle, over twenty F2 drivers aren’t F1 drivers. There would always be some who make mistakes in the rain, so he could just hold on tight, waiting for a safety car.
