After all, she was eager to sever ties with Ye Shikai completely. At this moment, Su Ziqing, sitting in the back seat, popped her little head out “Brother-in-law, take me out to have fun this afternoon.” “No way, you must be looking to go wild,” Su Qingyu quickly retorted with a glare at Su Ziqing even before Ye Shikai could respond. As the eldest sister, she loved her younger sister dearly, who had always been the family’s precious gem. But Su Ziqing had a mischievous nature and often got into a bunch of trouble, which was why Su Pengzhan had grounded her at home. “Sis, please, I’m begging you,” Su Ziqing pleaded with teary eyes, looking as if she had been wronged. “No means no. Do you want me to ask Dad to bring you back home?” Su Qingyu remained unmoved. Su Ziqing instantly deflated like a punctured ball, turning her plea toward Ye Shikai, her pitiful look heart-wrenching, “Brother-in-law, can you please talk to my sister for me?” She nuzzled her head against Ye Shikai’s chest coquettishly. But before Ye Shikai could finish his sentence, Su Qingyu gave him a stern look that seemed to flay him alive, her icy gaze suggesting, “If you take her side, I might just kick you out of the car.” Ye Shikai quickly clammed up, turning back to Su Ziqing’s tear-filled eyes, he had to sacrifice her for the moment, “Qingqing, you have to listen to your sister. Look, you’re so pretty; what if a bad guy targets you?” Since he had refused his sister-in-law, he might as well compliment her, but Su Ziqing was not placated in the least, snorting coldly, and leaned against the car door in a huff. Back at Lishi Garden, the car had just stopped when Su Ziqing huffily carried her luggage away, but upon reaching the door, she realized she didn’t have the keys, so she had to wait for Su Qingyu to open the door, stomping her feet in frustration. Ye Shikai couldn’t help laughing with a “pfft” as he saw Su Ziqing’s cheeks puffing up in anger; this younger sister-in-law was truly adorable. Upon entering, Su Ziqing went straight upstairs with her luggage, thinking, “This is infuriating, hmph, I must get out of here.” After settling her luggage, Su Ziqing walked out of her room and suddenly noticed the door of the room opposite Su Qingyu’s open. Curiosity led her inside, and upon seeing a closet full of men’s clothing, Su Ziqing was surprised. Huh? Is this my brother-in-law’s room? Shouldn’t he be sharing a room with my sister? Why are they sleeping in separate rooms? Suddenly, a sly smile formed on Su Ziqing’s face as if she’d thought of something. Not long after, Su Ziqing came downstairs, her face returning to its previous excitement, with not a trace of gloom. Su Qingyu was puzzled; could her sister have become well-behaved? Ye Shikai returned to the first floor uneasily and sat on the couch watching TV, trying to endure Su Ziqing’s grin. He found himself continuously shifting positions, feeling uncomfortable no matter how he sat. Suddenly, Su Ziqing slowly sat down next to him, her delicate hand resting on his shoulder, and Ye Shikai was enveloped by a waft of fragrance. “Brother-in-law, let’s go out and have fun this afternoon.” “No, your sister already said you’re not allowed to go out.” “Brother-in-law, what if...
