He then lit it slowly, looking entirely arrogant. “Put the cigarette down,” Zhang Ting yelled, “No smoking in the interrogation room!” Without looking up, Ye Shikai exhaled a puff of smoke and coolly said, “Is it illegal to smoke here?” “Not illegal, but there’s a fine, five hundred bucks.” “Five hundred bucks, huh,” Ye Shikai said in a deep voice, taking out ten banknotes from his bag, rolling a cigarette, and casually tossing it onto Zhang Ting’s desk. “A thousand bucks, I’ll invite you to smoke with me.”
