She stirred slightly and realized she was bound tightly to a chair – she had been kidnapped. She swiftly came to her senses, and saw the bodies scattered across the ground, and Ye Shikai, standing amidst the corpses. Su Qingyu had never seen such a sight before and screamed in terror. “Miss Su, finally awake,” the female assassin smiled, pressing the dagger to Su Qingyu’s cheek as if it would slice her skin with the faintest touch. “Who are you and why have you kidnapped me? If it’s money you want, I can give it to you right away, just let both of us go,” Su Qingyu calmly said. This was not the time to panic, especially when her life hung by a thread. Looking at the woman before her, Su Qingyu could not recall having offended anyone like her. “Bringing you here is obviously someone’s order. Miss Su, do you want to see how much your husband loves you? Now, he’s ready to exchange your life for his limbs,” the woman said. Ye Shikai now longed to rush over and kill her. The sharp blade penetrated his flesh and blood promptly welled out. The female assassin watched, her face twisting into an excited, savage grin. Without his arm, his power would wane significantly, and soon both would be like lambs to the slaughter. “No!” Su Qingyu’s wail was heart-wrenching. Blood drenched his arm, dripping steadily to the ground. As the knife penetrated the artery, blood sprayed out. Su Qingyu’s heart was a mix of pain, regret, tenderness, and remorse...
