As I'd that wasn't enough, he continued to incite them by saying, "I also hope that you will tell everyone that you know to come and witness the fight that will hold here tomorrow because this matter is of grave importance. Tomorrow we will see if Master Red is worthy of being your teacher."
He took one last look at Arthur and bowed. Then he left the yard. The other three that had accompanied him also left with him.
Even the others who had come looking for trouble decided to hold off until tomorrow before making their moves. So they left after Skylar and the members of the Owl Claw dojo left.
Arthur watched Skylar and the troublemakers leave with a cold light shining in his eyes. He has just been threatened. He doesn't like that at all.
He doesn't like being forced to do something he doesn't want to do. In fact, it has made him very angry.
But he didn't lash out and attack because it wouldn't solve the root of the problem. It will only escalate the matter if he kills the favorite and best disciple of Master Owl Claw.
Besides, even if he was able to kill both Skylar, Master Owl Claw, and every other disciple of the Owl Claw dojo, he still wouldn't be able to solve his problem because the Owl Claw dojo is just one of the many dojos that have a problem with him.
He thought to himself, "So they plan to discredit and disgrace me. I should be so glad."
He is sure that this challenge is also a compromise. The Owl Claw dojo is stronger than him, so they must have considered killing him and eliminating him completely. But they didn't do so to avoid trouble.
He sighed to himself, "This is just the beginning of the trouble. More will come."
"It seems I can't earn Karma in peace. Either I risk my life, spend money, or have to withstand trouble from others. I don't mind it. Karma is worth fighting for."
What he learned was that the Owl Claw dojo is a second-class dojo. That meant it had a way to overcome the second major breakthrough obstacle, between the sixth transformation and the seventh transformation.
A second-class dojo is stronger than a third-class dojo, which can only help their students cross the first major breakthrough obstacle.
But the second-class dojo is weaker than a first-class dojo, which has a way to break through from the ninth transformation to the tenth transformation and transcend the first mortal coil.
The classification of dojos is not about size or quantity. It is about quality. No matter how many students the Owl Claw dojo becomes, as long as they can't teach anyone to transcend, they will forever be rated as a second-class dojo.
His own dojo, for instance, is a third-class dojo even though he only has one teacher and no one at the fourth transformation. It is all because he has the resources needed to help his students reach the fourth transformation.
The Owl Claw dojo, on the other hand, can help their students reach the seventh transformation and beyond. Skylar, or Sky Claw, is at the seventh transformation.
Skylar is the successor of the Owl Claw dojo. Only he and his master are beyond the second major breakthrough obstacle.
The master of the dojo, Master Owl Claw, is 55 years old and at the ninth transformation. Master Owl Claw established the dojo 21 years ago but has only been able to produce one student that has crossed the second major breakthrough obstacle.
It is not that Master Owl Claw is a bad teacher. It is that he has been guarding the advance copy of his breathing technique jealously.
It wasn't until he found a promising and loyal boy that he adopted from a young age that he was willing to bestow the advanced breathing technique.
A successor meant that the next generation of the dojo is secured. It is even said that Skylar has hopes of participating in the next regional sect examination and winning a force diagram.
If he succeeds in acquiring the force diagram, he would be able to transcend the first mortal coil. Then he will be able to help his master acquire the force diagram too.
