"No wonder you didn’t notice anything. I realized that the energy we use for cultivation and that we use for our superpowers are stored differently." Chu Miao said with a serious look on her face. After using up most of my spiritual energy, I wanted to use my water superpower while my spiritual energy recovered. But I realized that even though it seemed like all the energy was coming from the dantian, there is something like a core laying at the bottom of the dantian." "If you don’t observe carefully you might miss it. That core is the one that stores the superpower energy. While cultivating in the fog last night I also realized that while absorbing spiritual energy to the dantian, another type of energy was absorbed by the core." "In that case, it is possible to improve the amount of power stored in the core, therefore, leveling up." Mother Chu made the observation. "Yes, it’s the same as cultivation. As they fought, one female zombie suddenly moved faster than the others and attacked Chu Miao with sharp claws that could cut metal. It attempted to cut her neck, but Chu Miao was experienced in battle and a simple zombie sneak attack was nothing to her. She ducked down and squatted to avoid those claws while forming a water sword and swinging it horizontally chopping off the zombie’s legs in one swing. But even after falling down without its legs, the zombie was relentless and still wiggled forward, trying to attack Chu Miao. It was a strange sight. It looked like the zombies would mark someone as prey and want to kill them and eat them at all cost. Looking at the way the zombie was behaving, Chu Miao didn’t hesitate as she formed another sword with her water superpower and cut open its head. Unlike before, she didn’t cut off the head at the neck but instead cut the head open. It was messier but she had no time to care about that as other zombies were attacking her.
