Xavier turned and looked pensively at the stirring monster. "It's the strongest abomination and ruler of Terra Sanguis." Xavier spoke his words with heavy intonations describing the severity of their circumstances. Ceres followed his gazed and stared quietly without a change in expression before blinking slowly. "Oh." "Oh?" Xavier stuttered as he looked back at Ceres. The beautiful young lady with long silver hair met his gaze and tilted her head innocently. Ultimately, Xavier could only blink his eyes, stupified. He laughed dryly. "I don't think you heard me..." Had Ceres just nonchalantly dismissed the threat of the abomination that was the Desert king? "That's the most powerful creature who rules the desert of Blood Earth as king. Look at it, it's massive!" "It's a worm." "...what?" Before Xavier could say anything else - not that she cared to be bothered - Ceres nonchalantly turned around and slowly approached the Sand Dragon, still reeling from the unexpected attack. "Wait! What about Nico?!" Before anyone could continue, Chelsea said with an anxious voice. Ceres merely stopped in place, the others all turned to look at her. Chelsea's face and eyes looked hollow and pale. Her usually bright orange eye were full of uncertainty and fear, she couldn't even boldly hold the gazes of the others. Alexander stared blankly at her for a few seconds, uncertain of what to say. The name Nico... brought back flashes of memories of a few moments ago. 'What happened...?' his thoughts trail. The tips of Alexander's fingers trembled as he recalled his recent experience. The dread and horror he felt — Alexander felt a subtle tremor down his back, and Trise subconsciously yelped herself, too. "We can't just let him leave like that... right?" Chelsea weakly said Xavier's expression became dark and contemplative, regarding her words for a brief moment. 'Leaving Nicodemus alone holds nothing favourable for us.' Xavier contemplated. "Chelsea is right," he asserted with a sigh. Xavier fixed his gaze against Ceres' back as she stood up front. Then he added: "But first we have to get past this current hurdle. Trust me when i say this, Chelsea, I'm as against leaving Nicodemus alone like this as you are, possibly more. I believe he still has a lot of... explaining to do." Xavier exchanged an unfathomable gaze with Chelsea, the weight of his words hung heavily. "Then we need a plan." Alexander added dryly. His ghostly blue eyes were still partially vacant — Alex clearly was yet to still have fully recovered from whatever psychological shock he suffered under Nicodemus's influence. "Yeah. Well... We already have one half underway. First we get through the King of the Desert... Then we split up." Xavier began, grunting as he held his wounded shoulder. He lowered himself to the ground, planted against one knee and placed his sword next to him. "One team holds back the Sand Dragon " Xavier tore a piece of his already ragged blazer and crudely wrapped his crushed shoulder tightly, pulling on one end with his teeth. As he did he yelped painfully, his already pale expression flickering with an intense moment of anguish for a passing second. Xavier gritted his teeth through the pain — he held still, biting the torn piece of his blazer in his mouth tightly, and continued to speak behind gritted teeth. His voice was like a raspy growl. "The other goes after Nico." The tips of Chelsea's fingers trembled at Xavier's words. The intensity in his gaze at that moment made her yelp with fear and uncertainty. 'Nico...' Xavier - oblivious to the internal dilemma and reaction of Chelsea - rose back to his feet. "With that said, that can only be possible right now with your help..." Saying so, Xavier turned his gaze towards a certain back, staring intently. "Miss Ceres." "..." What was with Xavier's sudden profound sense of confidence out of nowhere? The answer was standing right in front of him. The vast difference between their confrontation against the Sand Worm from before, and now simply consisted of the presence of a single person. Ceres Walker, a Hero Ranked Awakened. Technically, Ceres was supposed to be an entire rank higher than the Sand Worm after all... Supposed to... Ceres merely turned slightly and gave a curt nod without a single world. A curved smile rose to Xavier's face, a little intense maybe. Ceres was the only one to have dealt the first damage against the Desert King. Having someone as powerful as her with them this time around, spoke about a not so slim chance any longer. Speaking of abomination... The chamber shuddered, and a bloodcurdling roar decimated through the surroundings. The notorious Sand Dragon of the blood desert announced its recovery - and possibly wrath- with a devastating roar. The cadets felt the blood freeze in their veins for a brief moment, and Xavier forgot to breathe. 'It's recovered.' Immediately, his heart raced and geared. Xavier raised his sword and his expression became fierce against an impending confrontation. "Everyone, on guard!" -Boom!! A thunderous sound reverberated through the air suddenly, as the Sand Dragon moved. It slithered in a straight line like a piston, ramming towards the direction of the group. Trise gripped the hilt of her rapier tightly with one hand, and raised the other slightly. Spinning magic circles constructed of pale blue light and illusionary symbols unraveled in the air before her as a massive structure of a concave wall of ice was suddenly conjured in between them. The Sand Dragon was already on startling momentum. It smashed ruthlessly into the otherwise feeble wall of ice, decimating it as easy as it would for glass. The arctic wall shattered easily into pieces with a loud noice ad the long, humumgous slithering body of the Sand Worm tore through it seamlessly. At the same time... "Miss Ceres!" The five cadets moved and scattered. Ceres especially. She vanished with in the blink of an eye as her figure blurred. The chamber trembled with even more piece of the ceiling and structure collapsing to the ground. Ceres figure spun in the air above the Sand Worm and raised her magnificent broad sword with only one hand. Her deep red eyes brightened as her broad blade descended with a devastating arc against the designated target. -Boom! Then everything shook once more.
