New Entry 3 – Archive Log It is I—your beautiful, elegant, generous, kind, and currently most compassionate version of yourself. If you're aiming to surpass my goodness, then you better train yourself to become stronger and more powerful. Why? Because a kind and generous but weak person will only be taken advantage of by ungrateful individuals. You'll only end up getting hurt when you show sympathy and concern for others if you're weak. You need to become stronger—and hurt them back if they ever try to wrong you, or even think about doing it. Just like I did these past few weeks. But you already saw it all, right? How I taught those ungrateful adventurers who they were messing with. How gracious I was for forgiving Mr. Arezu for cheating on me. How I punished those ungrateful adventurers—I mean, Alex—for wasting my precious puddings and cakes. Well, in case you missed something, let me give you a quick recap of everything that happened. It all started on the day the Adventurers' Guild made the official announcement about the new Dungeon Conquerors. Mainly, yours truly—me—Mr. Arezu, and Ms. Haughty. For those ungrateful adventurers to complain about us being chosen... the audacity! They claimed they couldn't remember what happened while they were under the influence of the cursed weapons. That they didn't know if they had attacked fellow adventurers who tried to rescue them—or may have even killed them. And that they deserved the title of Dungeon Conquerors just because they were the ones who discovered the dungeon first. But to question our right to the title of Dungeon Conquerors? Us? The ones who fought with everything we had to save them from their suffering? They seriously needed to be taught a lesson about who they were messing with. That's when an interesting idea suddenly came to me—right as I spotted Mr. Arezu among the crowd of ungrateful adventurers. He was staring at me, utterly dumbfounded, clearly admiring the glorious me standing proud and confident at the top of the stage. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Mr. Arezu had already fallen for me. Anyway, want to know what that brilliant idea was? Of course you do, so let me tell you. I decided to have Mr. Arezu beat up those ungrateful adventurers. Well, that was the basic idea—but there was more to it. At first, I just wanted to teach them not to mess with me and Mr. Arezu. But when Ms. Scary-Sylvia also forced me to fight alongside him—not that I'm complaining—another clever idea from the great me was born: Why not use this opportunity to try and force Mr. Arezu to use his swordsmanship again? He's clearly avoiding it for whatever reason, so I needed to create a situation where he'd be forced to use it. And for that, I was even willing to sacrifice myself. Seriously, just how kind and generous am I when it comes to Mr. Arezu's happiness? To make the plan work, Mr. Rust volunteered to help—just because he wanted a rematch with Mr. Arezu and his mysterious swordsmanship. Still, if Mr. Rust joined the challenge for the Dungeon Conqueror title, we could've lost our claim. Thankfully, Ms. Raven also volunteered to help—because she got pissed off at Mr. Rust for challenging Mr. Arezu. As for who gave Ms. Raven a special laxative concoction that only activates in cold temperatures... who knows. With that, the challenge began. Mr. Arezu, however, refused to beat up those ungrateful adventurers like they were punching bags. I even had to save him from a certain gargoyle. Then the rematch between Mr. Arezu and Mr. Rust finally happened. And even though I sacrificed myself while the ungrateful adventurers ganged up on me, as planned with Mr. Rust, Mr. Arezu still refused to pick up the sword. Well, there wasn't much more I could do. After all, our lives weren't really in danger. And upon seeing how worried he was about me, my compassionate self couldn't help but ease his worries—and turn those ungrateful adventurers into a bunch of ice sculptures. After the challenge, we officially received the Dungeon Conqueror title. I then took a few days off to investigate that strange evolved goblin bastard. Mr. Arezu looked truly heartbroken at the thought of not seeing me for a few days—I think he even cried when we said goodbye. But there was nothing I could do. He had to endure that loneliness until we met again. As for that slippery goblin, he's good at hiding. Even with all my connections, I still couldn't find any leads. But I already know when he'll show up next—and when that time comes, Mr. Arezu and I will be waiting for him. A few days later, the incident of Mr. Arezu cheating happened. Well, I already wrote about that, so no need to recap. What matters is that once again, I prioritized Mr. Arezu's happiness over my own by forgiving him. I even set up a celebration for his promotion to Iron-rank Adventurer—which, by the way, only happened thanks to me looking after him. Did you miss that part? Why do you think I had Mr. Arezu beat up those ungrateful adventurers? Not just to teach them a lesson, but so Ms. Scary-Sylvia would see how strong he is and promote him. Putting aside my overwhelming kindness and generosity, something interesting happened at the end of that night. Some idiot—who turned out to be Alex—tried to kill me and ended up wasting all my precious puddings and cakes. I didn't know it was him at the time, thanks to that dungeon artifact robe that could conceal the user's mana flow. Then things got even more fun and interesting. I felt refreshed after blowing off some steam at the Adventurers' Guild, Ms. Scary-Sylvia even helped me work out, we met Liz and Hannah again, Mr. Arezu finally saw how compassionate I truly am—yet still refuses to kneel before me and promise to worship me forever—and I got to stay at the same inn as him. That led to us going on multiple late-night dates. Forget Alex. It would've been better if he just kept hiding so Mr. Arezu and I could enjoy more time together—but no, that idiot dared to show himself. To my surprise, Alex really did lose his divine gift. I mean, I already suspected it. After all, thanks to our eccentric eyes, I saw Mr. Arezu absorb Alex's mana, the curse corrupting him, and even his divine gift—just so he could save Alex back during the goblin-slaying incident. Of course, it wasn't intentional. Mr. Arezu probably had no idea he'd absorbed Alex's divine gift. But it's not like Mr. Arezu became a Hero himself. Why? Well, you saw it too, but here's how I understand it: Mr. Arezu simply converted the curse and divine gift into mana and stored it within his body—just like a Dungeon does. Seriously, what is Mr. Arezu? Anyway, Mr. Arezu and I worked together to capture Alex, and by the end of the night, we completed that simple yet strange—and very enjoyable—bounty-hunting quest. And that, dear me, is the story of how I've been so compassionate. But for now, you can forget all about that—because what awaits Mr. Arezu and me is something even more interesting and fun.
