Chapter 46: Archive - New Entry 2

New Entry 2 – Archive Log It is I—your beautiful, elegant, generous, kind, and currently the greatest version of yourself. If you're aiming to surpass my greatness, as you should be, then you'd better step up your game. You know why? Of course you do. But let me say—or rather, write—it for you: I finally conquered my first Dungeon! Yeay!... You saw how it happened, right? Everything, right? Well, just in case you missed something, let me clarify a few things. It all started with those Orcs my previous party encountered during that goblin-slaying quest—the one Mr. Arezu so cheerfully dismantled. At first glance, thanks to our unique eyes, I immediately knew the weapons the Orcs were wielding weren't just enchanted gear. No, they were actual dungeon artifacts. Why? Because the flow of mana and the extension of soul embedded in them were entirely different from what normal enchanted gear crafters could ever produced. A lot of things happened... blah blah blah... and then Ms. Scary-Sylvia confirmed my suspicions after conducting her hideous human experimentation. That's when I finally decided to take on the orc-hunting quest—something I was sure Mr. Arezu would enjoy. Seriously, how generous am I to always put the happiness of others before my own? Sometimes I wonder if I'm being too hard on myself. So don't be too hard on yourself either, okay? Moving forward, you won't believe how rudely Mr. Arezu treated me in the following days. First, he didn't uphold his promise and went back to calling me with an honorific attached to my name. I was so pissed I wanted to bury him—and everyone else—in the rubble of the Adventurers' Guild. Well, he realized his misdeed quickly, so I kindly forgave him. Second, I gave him a rare chance to learn more about me. And guess what? He didn't even fully appreciate it! I was so mad I almost shot an arrow straight through his heart. But then I realized I didn't need to. After all, Mr. Arezu said—or at least wanted to say—that he'd rather see me than hear some secondhand story about me, or from anyone else. Isn't that quite bold? Does Mr. Arezu actually have feelings for me? But let's put that topic aside for now. His rudeness didn't stop there. Third, he kept pestering me with questions about Alex's twin swords. It's not like Alex can't afford to buy a new pair, so what's the fuss? Fourth, no matter how many times I asked, Mr. Arezu wouldn't explain what was so funny about the phrase Seven Orc Balls. But I guess I couldn't stay mad at him. Because at the end of our shopping trip... he boldly confessed that he likes me. He said the kind of girl he likes is proud and confident. Isn't that obviously me?! Yet he still tries to act like he didn't say anything. In the days that followed, Mr. Arezu, Chevaline, and I embarked on the orc-hunting quest. A lot happened—I fought Wargs, demonstrated why I'm feared as Lady Impaler, and Mr. Arezu once again showed off his unexpected cooking skills. Pfft... I mean, I never thought I'd see an adventurer cooking cute pancakes while camping. But the highlight of our trip came after we met up with Ms. Haughty. That night, she said something that almost ruined everything. I nearly lost my composure. I tried to hide it—not letting my aura flare up, not letting Mr. Arezu notice—but I guess it slipped through my face, and Ms. Haughty and her Minions noticed. Seriously... It's not like I was going to murder them. No need to be that afraid. Regardless, that night was still the best. Why? Because I learned Mr. Arezu's weakness. All I have to do is whisper sweetly into his ear, and he becomes extremely flustered. That's one step closer to my goal of making Mr. Arezu my loyal follower. Soon, you'll see him kneel before me and worship me forever. Pfft... Hahaha... The next day, along with Ms. Haughty's party, we finally found the uncharted Dungeon I had been searching for. I was right—the cursed weapons the Orcs wielded came from a Dungeon. Luckily, none of the adventurers who went on the orc-hunting quest had returned. Even the first party Ms. Scary-Sylvia assigned to search for the missing adventurers. Honestly, how rude of her. If she had just asked me first to do the search quest, everything would've been much easier. Inside the uncharted Dungeon, we encountered Undead Orcs and the corrupted adventurers who had gone missing. That's when I revealed to Mr. Arezu that we weren't just hunting Orcs—we were on a nobler mission to rescue those adventurers. Naturally, Mr. Arezu gave his full support. He probably saw my generosity and kindness shining through. As we pressed on, we reached the center of the Dungeon. Mr. Arezu had a sad look on his face. He said it felt like a graveyard, whereas I only saw a treasure trove. Regardless, there was one last problem before I could conquer the Dungeon: Mr. Rust's group. Once again, if Ms. Scary-Sylvia hadn't sent them here, things would've gone a lot smoother. Mr. Rust is a silver-rank adventurer, and his party too. But why should I be worried? I had Ms. Haughty—a Heroine candidate—at my side, and Mr. Arezu, who's basically a human Dungeon... or whatever he actually is. Our group fought Mr. Rust's party. You're probably thinking I could've ended things with a single cast of Avalanche or frozen them solid with Glacier, but silver-rank adventurers don't go down that easily. The battle raged on, and honestly, I started thinking, We're definitely going to die here. Mr. Rust, Ms. Raven, and that average-looking mage were all fighting stronger than expected—clearly empowered by their cursed weapons. When Ms. Haughty fell unconscious and Mr. Arezu lost his duel, I panicked and nearly did something drastic. But then... Mr. Arezu responded to my voice. Mr. Arezu rose and defeated Mr. Rust using nothing but pure swordsmanship. No combat skills. Just mastery. At that moment, I wanted to yell, Why didn't you just do that from the start?! But when I saw the sadness and loneliness in his expression, I knew he had his reasons. With Mr. Rust's corrupted party defeated, we could finally claim the title of conquerors of the uncharted Dungeon. But Mr. Arezu tried to destroy the Core and the Dungeon itself using his mysterious power. So I had no choice... but to gently put him to sleep. After that, I handled everything: I healed Ms. Haughty, carried Mr. Arezu on my back, protected our loot, and signaled Ms. Scary-Sylvia to come to us. The next morning, I generously consoled Mr. Arezu in his moment of sadness—but he had the audacity to get mad over a tiny issue about money. Regardless, our partnership won't crumble over something so trivial. And that is how I conquered my first Dungeon. It'll take time for the guild to make the official announcement. But don't worry—if they dare say otherwise, I'm demolishing that building myself. In the meantime, things won't be boring with Mr. Arezu at my side. And thanks to Ms. Haughty, I've finally found my first true prey. That bastard pretending to be a strange, evolved goblin... will pay dearly for a grave sin. After all, no human should be allowed to control monsters.
