In this arc, Lynn truly displays the highlight of her audacity—rude, impudent, and dangerously possessive when it comes to things she finds interesting... or more specifically, to Arezu. However, this arc actually gives Lynn a bit of redemption. Despite her murderous tendencies toward those who try to hurt her (like Alex) and her rudeness to those who dismiss her kindness (like the group of 24 rescued adventurers), Lynn is, at her core, a good person who cares for victims of monster-related incidents. As Arezu realizes, Lynn's fixation with money is her way of supporting those in need. Maybe not directly, but she funds the people who can help them. Why does she care so much? That will all be revealed in future arcs—including the source of her deep-seated hatred and animosity, so strong it even terrifies Arezu—so stay tuned! In this arc, once again, he patiently puts up with all of Lynn's antics—and everything else about her. Why? Because as Lynn's one and only party member, he's somehow responsible for all the trouble she causes as an adventurer. It may sound unreasonable, but like he said: he put himself in that position. He has no one else to blame but himself. This arc also gives more hints about Arezu's identity—his guilt and regret while fighting Rust, his interest with Monster Cores, his knowledge of unusual food recipes, and his strange, dungeon-like ability to absorb mana. The big reveal was still far from the current story, so like Lynn, I hope you readers will continue doing your best to piece together Arezu's true identity. A bit expensive for a weapon? Well, this is a fantasy story. --- Supporting Characters (Quick Remarks) Sylvia – The classic serious, sharp-eyed elven receptionist. One of the highlights of this arc, showcasing her strength as the famed Invisible Blade. Her invisible wind blades were inspired by Ubel's cutting spell from Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. Beatrix – One of Lynn's friends and Broc's daughter. As mentioned, Beatrix is human, born to a demi-human father and human mother. She'll be the one crafting Arezu's halberd-axe. Kurea – Another of Lynn's friends and the acting Guild Master. Her intro is short, but she'll be a key supporting character in the upcoming arcs. Marionette – The mature, sexy female character. I forgot to give her a detailed description in the last arc—so just picture a more mature and seductive version of Mitsuri Kanroji from Demon Slayer. Rust – The buster-sword wielder. This arc reveals that Rust, Raven, Blaze, and some of the rescued adventurers retained memories from their cursed weapons. It strengthened them—and it's clear Rust is stronger than Arezu (at least when Arezu doesn't use swordsmanship). Hannah – The saintess candidate and the representative of all those shipping Lynn and Arezu. Like her, I hope you'll keep an eye on where this romance is headed! Liz – The daughter of Duke Von Envier, and the representative of readers who want to skip the rom-com. Or so you think. Why is she so annoyed by Lynn and Arezu's flirting? What's her true nature? Stay tuned to find out. Alex – The Man-Hunter. What happens to him now that he's lost his divine gift? I won't lie—I haven't figured that part out yet. Will he be redeemed or become a true villain? Let's find out together. All these supporting characters will return in future arcs! --- About the Bounty-Hunting Quest Arc The twist of this quest was simple: What happens to a hero who loses what defines him—his divine gift. Strange twist? Maybe. But despite the arc's title, the bounty-hunting part only happens near the end. This arc focuses on resolving leftover problems from earlier quests—like who truly conquered the dungeon of abandoned cursed weapons, and what happened to Alex afterward. I hope the clash for the title of Dungeon Conquerors, the chaos of Lynn's rampage, and the battle with Alex got you hyped. Hopefully, the drama and playful romance between Arezu and Lynn kept you entertained. --- Inspiration & Background Here are some inspirations behind this arc: 1. Arezu vs. Rust Rematch Inspired by the final fight between Puss and Death in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. I loved the moment when Death tells Puss to pick up his sword and fight—so I created the scene where Rust urges Arezu to wield the sword. 2. The Moon Pavilion Inn Inspired by the Bunny and the Moon concept from one of my favorite Webnovel stories. The idea: an inn run by a rabbit-beastkin family. The family dynamic was also inspired by the manga Bear and Bunny Cannot Be Friends. Lapina – the rabbit-beastkin innkeeper wife Dov – her human, bear-like, muscular husband and chef Luna – their human daughter Jade – their younger rabbit-beastkin daughter They'll be part of the story as Arezu's benefactors, and the Moon Pavilion will be the base of operations for Arezu and Lynn. --- Final Thoughts This third arc was a bit longer than the last two—with 26 chapters from prologue to epilogue (including the Archive recap).
