Before Sauron even appeared, the check-in system reacted first.
Hogwarts Check-in System: Location detected - Dol Guldur. Check in?
"Check in!" Kael silently recited.
Check-in successful. Congratulations on obtaining "Secrets of the Darkest Art"!
Looking at the dark magic book that materialized before him, Kael's mind reeled with shock. He hadn't expected to obtain such a forbidden tome from the check-in.
Although now wasn't the time to read, Kael couldn't help but divide part of his attention to secretly flip through the book's contents.
"Imperius Curse, Cruciatus Curse, Killing Curse, Fiendfyre... and Horcrux creation!"
The more Kael read, the more his mind was shaken. This check-in's harvest was enormous! It encompassed almost all the most powerful dark magic in the wizarding world.
If he could fully master these dark magics, his strength would undergo earth-shattering changes. However, his immediate focus fell on the Killing Curse.
As one of the three Unforgivable Curses, the Killing Curse meant instant death upon impact, with no magic able to block it. It was the most dangerous and deadly dark magic in the wizarding world.
But it was also the easiest dark magic to learn. Because it didn't require complex casting conditions, only the most extreme and intense emotions, using malicious and murderous feelings to channel magical power to successfully cast the Killing Curse.
The power of the Killing Curse depended on the caster's malice and magical power.
However, before Kael could read much further, a terrifying dark force struck from all directions, carrying the momentum of towering waves as if to crush them all.
Gandalf quickly raised his staff to create a massive holy light barrier, protecting everyone. Looking at the fluctuating barrier, it was like a bubble in a stormy sea, in danger of being broken at any moment.
"Gandalf, let me help you!" Radagast showed the power befitting a Brown Wizard for the first time, his staff releasing another layer of holy light to reinforce Gandalf's barrier, making it more solid.
Glorfindel released a powerful force and dazzling holy light from his entire body, tearing open a huge rift in the darkness. A ray of sunlight poured down from the dim sky onto everyone, blocking the dark assault.
Elrond chanted in ancient and mysterious Elvish, controlling wind elements to form a hurricane that continuously swept through the entire castle cavern, determined to search out the enemy hiding within.
"He's hiding there!" Elrond's sharp gaze instantly fell on the highest ruined tower.
The hurricane rushed quickly toward that tower.
"Confringo!" Without hesitation, Kael cast a spell at the tower.
With a tremendous explosion, the tower was destroyed in the hurricane and blast. As rubble fell, the enemy hidden within was also exposed.
Massive red flames erupted from within, emanating scorching and evil auras, condensing into an enormously huge flaming vertical eye.
"You cannot defeat me. Darkness rises again. Your feeble light stands isolated in darkness, so insignificant." A voice filled with evil, temptation, and corruption echoed around everyone in the Black Speech.
The nine Nazgûl they had already defeated were revived again from that flaming giant eye, surrounding them from all directions.
Within the giant eye's vertical pupil was complete dark emptiness. A very tall figure emerged from within, releasing powerful and terrifying dark force, bombarding the holy light barrier maintained by Gandalf and Radagast like an overwhelming mountain torrent.
The holy light barrier trembled precariously. The sky fell into complete darkness, as if all light had been devoured.
Kael felt a terrifying, suffocating oppression, with countless evil voices seeming to whisper in his ears, trying to erode and corrupt his mind. He quickly summoned his Patronus to his side. Under the Patronus's protective power, he finally had a chance to breathe, like someone who had been suffocating for a long time finally emerging from water.
At the same time, he felt a warm energy from his chest pocket. Kael's eyes lit up as he quickly pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket. Opening it, he saw five strands of hair radiating silver light.
These were the hairs Galadriel had given him before. He used his wand to weave two strands of the golden hair into a bracelet, then wore it on his right hand.
Galadriel's hair contained the light of the Two Trees, instantly isolating the dark force's erosion of his mind, freeing him from its influence. Kael watched as Gandalf, Radagast, Elrond, and Glorfindel joined forces to successfully resist Sauron's attack, and breathed a sigh of relief.
Fortunately, he had invited these three powerful allies: Elrond, Glorfindel, and Radagast. Otherwise, with just Gandalf and himself, they would truly be walking into a tiger's den.
"The age of Elves is over. The time of the Orc has come. You are in decline, and I shall be the victor!" The flaming giant eye erupted with even more scorching flames. From within the vertical pupil's dark void, that tall figure stepped out.
Evil auras and terrifying dark forces swirled around him. He wore dark, menacing armor, his form tall and indistinct, shrouded in black mist and flames.
Seeing Sauron appear in his true form, everyone was extremely shocked and incredulous.
Radagast said in terror, "He has physical form! Has he truly been resurrected?"
"How is this possible? Unless he regained the One Ring, he couldn't possibly have physical form," Elrond was also unwilling to believe it.
Gandalf shook his head gravely. "Relax, Radagast. He hasn't truly been resurrected with physical form, or we would have been defeated long ago. Decades ago, Thráin II, the owner of the last of the Seven Dwarf Rings, was attacked and captured by Orcs and imprisoned at Dol Guldur. I think it was then that he obtained the Dwarf Ring and gained partial power through it."
Sauron's appearance greatly alarmed everyone, and the power he displayed was unsettling. As Sauron approached through the air, that powerful dark force pressed the holy light barrier smaller and smaller.
With Sauron's powerful strike, the holy light barrier shattered. Gandalf and Radagast were exhausted and unable to continue fighting.
"Sauron, servant of Morgoth, your opponent is me!" Glorfindel released holy and powerful force, standing in opposition to Sauron's dark power.
As the reborn Lord of the Golden Flower, he possessed pure magical power comparable to the Maiar and was one of the strongest Elves in Middle-earth. Now facing the returned Sauron, he still held his ground.
"Glorfindel, the reborn Elf. I wonder if you'll have another chance at rebirth after I kill you this time?" Sauron's mocking voice echoed around them, carrying a power that inspired fear.
With that, an even more terrifying force struck toward Glorfindel, forcing him to retreat several steps, his radiance dimming somewhat.
Meanwhile, Elrond was entangled and besieged by the nine Nazgûl, unable to provide support for the moment.
