Rex chuckled, his smirk widening. "Well, good thing Princess Cleo is madly in love with me... even if she won't admit it. And I happen to know that this princess has a habit of doing things she's not supposed to do." He leaned in again, this time nipping lightly at the finger she had pressed to his lips.
Cleo's breath hitched, her golden eyes narrowing slightly. "You're insufferable," she murmured, though there was no real heat in her words. She hesitated for a moment, then sighed, her resolve crumbling. "Fine. But only because you're about to risk your life down there."
Before Rex could respond, Cleo closed the distance between them, her lips meeting his in a brief but delicious kiss. It was over almost as quickly as it began, but the warmth of it lingered, leaving Rex momentarily stunned.
Mini Cleo, who had been watching the entire exchange with wide eyes, let out an exaggerated gasp.
{Whoa! Boss, you've got game!}
Cleo stepped back, her cheeks faintly flushed, though her expression quickly returned to its usual composure. "There. Now go. And try not to get yourself killed."
Rex grinned, his wings flaring as he stepped back toward the edge of the platform. "Don't worry, Princess. I'll be back before you know it." He turned to Mini Cleo, who was still clutching her holographic bomb. "You ready, little troublemaker?"
{Ready as I'll ever be, Boss!}
Mini Cleo replied, her tiny form glowing with excitement.
With one last glance at Cleo, Rex spread his wings and leapt off the platform, diving toward the misty battlefield below. Mini Cleo followed close behind, her holographic bomb disappearing as she transformed into a glowing orb of light, ready to assist him in the fight.
Cleo watched them go, her arms crossed as she stood at the edge of the platform. For a moment, her usual mask of calm slipped, revealing a flicker of worry. But then she straightened, her expression hardening.
"Good luck, Rex," she murmured under her breath. "And don't you dare make me regret that kiss."
Rex descended from the sky like a golden comet, his radiant wings cutting through the mist with a brilliance that outshone even the faint glow of the planet's atmosphere.
He came to an abrupt halt just a few meters above the plateau, the sudden stop sending shockwaves rippling through the air. The sound was deafening, like thunder rolling across the battlefield, and it echoed for miles, announcing his arrival to friend and foe alike.
"Well then," Rex said, his voice calm but carrying an undeniable weight, "it's time to start this operation. Don't expect me to give a long, emotive speech since I'm not good at those. But I know all of you don't need one to get the job done."
He turned around, his golden eyes locking onto the mark displayed on his HUD. With a deliberate motion, he raised his hand and pointed toward the coordinates.
"Everyone, mobilize!" His voice boomed like a command from the heavens, so powerful and dominating that it didn't need amplification through communications. Every soldier, every unit, and every ally within earshot felt the order resonate deep within them.
In the blink of an eye, the plateau erupted into action. Hundreds of fighters from the allied forces surged forward, their engines roaring as they sped past Rex to scout ahead.
The transport ships, loaded with Aegis units and Tyrant units, lifted off from the plateau in perfect formation, their thrusters glowing as they headed toward the coordinates.
From the mist, the massive silhouette of the dreadnought Liberator emerged, its imposing frame casting a shadow over the battlefield. It advanced slowly but steadily, flanked by a fleet of frigates that buzzed around it like protective insects.
"Yes," Cleo replied, her tone as composed as ever. "I'm detecting at least four Tier 4 Bionic Warriors heading your way. It seems phase two of the plan is working."
Rex groaned while shaking his head in mock defeat. "I don't think I like this kind of plan... I'm going to have to fight four Tier 4 warriors all by myself."
Cleo's voice took on a rare sarcastic edge, something Rex hadn't heard from her before. "What's wrong? Are you giving up already?"
Rex's eyes narrowed, and a devilish grin spread across his face. "Ha! Who's giving up? Let's do this! If I can take care of all four of them alone, you'll sleep with me tonight!"
he shouted, his voice booming with confidence. As he spoke, his body began to grow in size, the golden halo on his back surging with energy that poured into his system.
There was a brief pause on the other end of the line before Cleo responded, her voice uncharacteristically shy. "If... if you can take all of them without losing any limbs, I guess I can consider it."
Rex's grin widened, and he pumped his fist in the air. "Ha! You said it yourself, so you better start picking out some good lingerie! I'm going to make you pregnant this time!" he shouted at the top of his lungs, his voice carrying far beyond the private channel.
"Rex...." Cleo said, her tone a mix of exasperation and embarrassment, "even if we're using a private channel, if you shout like that..." She trailed off, clearly flustered, a first for her.
Before Rex could respond, a voice cut through the air, dripping with mockery. "Hahaha, you think is wise to be talking about this in the middle of a battlefield?"
Rex turned to see one of the Tier 4 powerhouses hovering to his right, it armor gleaming in the misty light. The figure was imposing, but Rex wasn't intimidated.
"Let him be," another voice chimed in. This time, it came from a second Tier 4 powerhouse, who stood atop one of the transport ships a few meters away. "You're just jealous, old man."
The other two Tier 4 powerhouses appeared soon after, each taking up a position around Rex, effectively surrounding him. Rex crossed his arms, his whitewings flaring slightly.
"Mmm, so it's four against one? Aren't you guys being a little unfair to poor little me?" he said, his tone dripping with sarcasm. Behind him, Mini Cleo was already hard at work, crafting two nano claymores infused with Rex's cosmic energy.
One of the Tier 4 powerhouses, a hulking figure in heavy armor, looked Rex up and down before scoffing. "Little? You? Dude, you're what... three meters tall? The only little thing about you is your dick!" The comment drew laughter from the other Tier 4 powerhouses, their voices full of mockery.
Rex raised an eyebrow, his grin never faltering. "Mmm? How do you know my dick is small? Were you the one sucking it last night?" he shot back while dramatically covering his crotch with his hands.
The armored powerhouse froze, his body trembling with rage. "Y-you!" he sputtered, pointing a shaking finger at Rex. It wasn't clear if his face was red under his helmet, but his entire body shook like a leaf in the wind.

{Boss,} Mini Cleo said, her tiny voice filled with barely contained laughter
{that guy is clearly angry. Why did he even try to mock you if he can't handle it? Is he a masochist?}
The other Tier 4 powerhouses were also struggling to keep their composure, their laughter now mixed with disbelief at Rex's audacity.
