As soon as the first Nexum troops hit the surface, they were greeted by fire and fury. Trenches, bunkers, and hardened defensive lines stretched for miles, turning the battlefield into a killing field.
Artillery cannons roared, sending massive shockwaves through the earth. Railguns fired from fortified positions, ripping through enemy transport ships before they could even touch down.@@@@
This was not a battle of thousands against thousands; this was millions against millions, the kind of war that only those who had conquered worlds before had ever seen.
In the heart of Nexum's flagship command deck, Percival sat in absolute comfort.
Lounging in his throne-like chair, he barely paid attention to the battlefield unfolding before him. One slave girl knelt beside him, carefully feeding him fruit, while another gently fanned air onto his face, keeping him cool as the war raged below.
One of his officers approached with urgency in his tone. "Sir! The enemy defenders have established a strong defensive line! Our ground forces are being stopped cold!"
Percival sighed while lazily waving a hand. "Isn't it obvious?" He stretched slightly, accepting another piece of fruit between his teeth. "Order an orbital bombardment on their positions. We don't have time to waste."
The officer hesitated for a brief moment. "But, sir... our own troops are already engaging them. If we begin orbital strikes now—"
Percival's eyes flickered with irritation.
{This damn fool, always talking back to my orders! who do they think they are!?}
"We don't have time to be concerned with casualties. Destroy them all." His lips curled into a cruel smirk. "And hurry it up. We don't know when those pestering war reporters will show up and ruin the fun."
The officer stiffened but quickly saluted. "Understood, sir!"
As he turned to relay the order, Percival let out a soft chuckle, his gaze returning to the battlefield display.
{Let them fight.... Let them burn.... and meanwhile I will be banging this slave right here, Hahaha}
"Sir Vortigan! The enemy offensive has been halted in the north and east! The south and west are still struggling, but at this rate, we should be able to stop them there too!"
The officer's voice rang through the room, filled with urgency but edged with a hint of hope. Vortigan leaned back slightly, arms crossed, his gaze shifting toward Victor, who stood beside him, relaxed but sharp-eyed.
"Well, I'll be damned," Vortigan muttered while tossing a small orb of purified water into his mouth and chewing it before swallowing. "Your strategy actually worked, Victor."
Victor let out a gruff laugh while shaking his head. "Of course it worked. That sissy Perci doesn't have the tactical experience I do. He's still sucking on his mama's tits. He needs years before he can even think about outmaneuvering me." He popped a similar water orb into his mouth, biting down with a grin.

Vortigan exhaled while shaking his head. "I don't think he's stopping anytime soon... you know the rumors, right?"
Victor froze for a second, then narrowed his eyes. "...Dude. Gross. That's not the image I need in my head right now."
Vortigan smirked but didn't reply. Instead, he grabbed his coat from the chair and turned toward the exit.
"By the way," Victor called after him, "is my niece in a safe place?"
Vortigan paused for a moment before speaking. "Of course. I had her sent through the secret escape route to the polar region. She didn't take it well, though. I had to put her to sleep to get her to comply. She was adamant about joining the war."
Victor sighed. "Kids these days don't know what they're saying..."
Vortigan didn't reply. He just kept walking.
His lips curled into a wide, perverse grin as he reclined in his command throne, savoring every explosion like the finest art. He ran a hand over the trembling form of the slave kneeling beside him, fingers tightening in her hair as he drowned in ecstasy, for both the massacre below and his own climaxing pleasure.
"Hahahaha! Yes! Yes! That is the fate of all traitors!" He threw his head back, gasping in pleasure. "Do not stop! Reduce them all to dust!"
The officers on the bridge shifted uncomfortably, but no one dared speak.
Vortigan stood rigid with his teeth clenched so tightly that blood seeped from his gums. His fists trembled at his sides, nails digging into his palms so hard they threatened to pierce the skin.
"Is everything ready?" His voice was low, guttural, filled with barely contained fury.
"Yes, sir," an officer responded, though his voice shook. His eyes were still red, barely holding back tears for the sacrifices made from his comrades
Vortigan inhaled sharply. The rage, the sorrow, the overwhelming grief.. he forced it down, condensing it into something sharp and deadly.
"Then do it. Make those bastards taste our revenge."
The officers moved instantly, their fingers flying over control panels as they transmitted the final activation codes.
Percival was still lost in his twisted pleasure when the first alarm screamed through the flagship.
"Sir!" an officer shouted in panic. "Multiple intercontinental missiles have been launched from the surface! They are targeting our deployed troops!"
Percival's eyes snapped open, the pleasure vanishing in an instant.
"What!?" He lunged forward, violently shoving the slave away with enough force that her frail body cracked against the wall, her lifeless form crumpling to the floor. He didn't even glance at her.
"Who the fuck allowed this!?" He shouted.
Before anyone could answer, one of the main screens flickered; it was hacked.
Percival's fury twisted into something uglier as Victor's grinning face appeared, lifting a middle finger with a smug laugh. "Hahahaha! Hope you like my gift, little mommy's boy!"
The screen immediately cut out, but the damage was done. Percival's entire body shook with rage.
"FUCKING DOG!"
With a roar, he pulled out his handgun and fired point-blank at the screen, shattering it into sparks and glass.
But no amount of screaming could change what was coming. The intercontinental missiles hit their targets with merciless precision.
They weren't just ordinary warheads. They were anti-matter bombs, each one designed to annihilate everything within a contained radius, erasing all organic and inorganic matter in an instant.
Massive shockwaves tore through the battlefield as the missiles detonated. Fire and energy ripped apart entire platoons, their bodies dissolving into nothingness before they could even scream.
The ground trembled under the force of the explosions. Thousands of Nexum soldiers were wiped out in mere seconds.
The sky, once a battlefield of ships and drop pods, was now filled with flaming wreckage. The planet's surface that was already ruined became an even greater hellscape, with both sides suffering unimaginable losses.
Now, no one was winning.
Now, it was nothing but carnage.
