Returning to his seat, he saw Li Chen chatting it up with Wang Qianqian, both of them having a blast, not caring whether Ye Yuxuan was there or not. “Sorry for leaving you alone,” Ye Yuxuan sat down again as Li Chen turned back and noticed Ye Yuxuan had regained his composure, which secretly amused him. “Come on, Brother Yuxuan, try this new drink. It tastes pretty good,” Li Chen said, handing him the beverage directly. Ye Yuxuan eyed the drinks, afraid to try them in case the other party had tampered with them. “Sorry, my stomach’s feeling off today. Can’t drink any more beverages,” Ye Yuxuan directly declined with an excuse. “That’s too bad,” Li Chen said, shaking his head before turning to Wang Qianqian. “Qianqian, it’s about time we should get going.” “Hey, Qianqian, why don’t we sit for a bit longer?” Ye Yuxuan immediately spoke up, joking to himself. If the other left, what would he do about the people he’d called over? Li Chen turned and saw something calculating in Ye Yuxuan’s eyes, mostly focused on him, and couldn’t help but sneer coldly. He needed to keep them here until Wild Chicken and his crew arrived, to at least beat this little shit down. “Qianqian, can you tell me how he managed to chase you?” Ye Yuxuan picked a random topic and began stalling for time. Wang Qianqian started narrating the fishing scene from back then, while Li Chen sat there quietly waiting. It wasn’t long before a noisy commotion erupted from outside. Turning to look, he saw a group of about a dozen thugs wielding steel rods rushing towards them. A hint of malicious glee appeared on Ye Yuxuan’s face as his eyes fixed on Li Chen, no longer hiding his venom. “Yo, Brother Yuxuan, why are you looking at me like that?” Li Chen said coolly. “I’m not gay. No funny business with me.” “You stole my girlfriend. You think I’ll let you off the hook?” Ye Yuxuan said coldly, while Wang Qianqian suddenly looked stunned, wondering why Ye Yuxuan had suddenly turned hostile. “Qianqian, stay inside the shop and don’t come out.” After whispering to her, Li Chen stood up, his face full of amusement. “I thought you didn’t have the guts and would just tuck your tail like a coward. Didn’t expect you have enough brains to call for backup.” “So what if I called people? If I don’t leave you crippled today, my name isn’t Ye.” Gone was Ye Yuxuan’s previous genteel demeanor; instead, his face twisted with savagery. “Now, that won’t work,” Li Chen said calmly, shaking his head. “I don’t need a dumbass child like you.” “You!” Ye Yuxuan was livid. “You got the balls to take this outside?” “You could only wish.” Li Chen said indifferently, then, without paying any further attention to the other party, was the first to walk out, with Ye Yuxuan closely following behind. The two walked out of the beverage shop one after the other, while the crowd outside had already been frightened by the imposing manner of a group of hoodlums, scattering to clear the area. The leader, sporting a messy chicken nest hairstyle and a tattoo of a wild chicken on his right arm, was flanked by a dozen others, all brandishing steel rods. “Are you looking for me?” Li Chen asked the hoodlums who intended to come in, his tone very calm. Wild Chicken was taken aback, sizing up Li Chen and asking, “Are you the one Ye Yuxuan was looking for?” “He is!” Ye Yuxuan immediately answered from behind, “Take him down, and I’ll transfer 5000 to you right away!” At the mention of 5000 yuan, the hoodlums became as excited as if they had been injected with chicken blood and instantly became agitated, especially Wild Chicken, who swung the steel rod in his hand and looked at Li Chen with a disdainful expression, “Kid, you heard it. The man raised his steel rod to smash down, but Li Chen didn’t dodge; instead, he grabbed the steel rod with one hand, pulled it away, disarming his opponent, and then swung the rod sideways, knocking the hoodlum out cold on the ground. With a flick of his right hand, the steel rod flew out of his grasp and struck another hoodlum in the chest, the fierce power of the blow knocking him down. Another hoodlum let out a roar and aimed directly at Li Chen’s back, but before he could get close, Li Chen delivered a back kick, accurately landing a blow on the man’s face. As he retracted his leg, that person passed out. The remaining hoodlums charged at him, but Li Chen showed no mercy and easily took them down. In just a short time, all the hoodlums Ye Yuxuan had summoned were down, except for Wild Chicken, who stood in place holding a steel rod, staring dumbfounded at Li Chen. What’s going on? Ye Yuxuan was also dumbstruck. How could Li Chen fight so well, like he came from the special forces? But even the regular forces didn’t have this level of ability. The other hoodlums also hastily scrammed, dragging the ones that had been knocked out along with them. They all feared being too slow, lest the dreadful Li Chen catch up with them. The spectators inside the beverage shop laughed heartily. Ye Yuxuan felt his face redden upon hearing the laughter; he had lost all face today. Moreover, the most critical part was that after today’s events, Wang Qianqian would never pay any attention to him again. Li Chen came to a stop in front of him, and Ye Yuxuan, who had lost all his previous pretenses and calm, turned pale. “Looking like that, you still dare pretend to be tough and call people out?” Li Chen shook his head, “Get lost, and don’t let me see you pestering Wang Qianqian again.” After speaking, he walked past Ye Yuxuan and, taking Wang Qianqian’s slender waist, left the beverage shop in front of Ye Yuxuan’s gaze.
