24: Chapter 21: The Axe Gang? 24: Chapter 21: The Axe Gang? “How does it feel? Enjoyable?” Li Chen grabbed his collar and lifted him like a dead dog. Red Hair’s forehead was already a bloody mess, looking particularly terrifying. “Enjoyable,” Red Hair cracked a smile and said, “Very much so, you bastard, if you have the guts, kill me.” Li Chen gave a faint smile, “Tough guy, I like that, just afraid you weren’t tough.” “Since you want to enjoy it, I’ll let you enjoy a bit more before I ask again.” With those words, Red Hair’s figure flew out. Red Hair, kicked and sent flying, felt featherlight, but before he even hit the ground, he felt his left arm being grabbed. There was a crisp crack, and Red Hair instantly felt the bones in his left arm being broken! “Ah!” Red Hair’s forehead was covered in fine sweat, but his voice was drowned out by the deafening DJ music. Li Chen asked him with a slight smile, “What’s wrong? Lost feeling in both hands? Let me help you.” Fear flickered in Red Hair’s eyes, but he only saw Li Chen grip his thumb and forcefully snap it off. “Ah!!” Red Hair felt the person in front of him was like a devil; his previously numb left arm was suddenly filled with excruciating pain that made him want to bash his head to death. Those who never experienced it would never know such agony. “Don’t worry, this is just an appetizer, the real fun is yet to come,” Li Chen spoke indifferently, while simultaneously breaking Red Hair’s left index finger. “Ah ah, stop it!” Red Hair wanted to writhe in pain, his face smeared with blood making him look very disheveled. Li Chen stopped his hand, “What’s the matter? Don’t want to enjoy it anymore?” Red Hair gasped heavily and looked at Li Chen with a hint of venomous intent, but Li Chen moved his hand, and the middle finger was broken. “No, no, ask away, ask whatever you want,” Red Hair started to go numb inside. Li Chen shook his head slightly, “Giving up so soon? I thought you were tougher.” Sitting back in his chair, Li Chen casually asked, “Was it you who messed with Lin’s Group today?” Red Hair nodded hastily. “I want to hear you say it yourself,” Li Chen tapped his fingers on the glass table. “It was us, we did it ourselves,” Red Hair quickly said, no longer wanting to offend the grim reaper before him. “Who instructed you to do it?” Red Hair hesitated, but upon seeing Li Chen’s cold gaze, he quickly responded, “It was the boss’s order, it’s really none of our business, we were just following orders.” “Who is your boss?” Li Chen spoke indifferently, “And also, say it all at once, I do not want to keep asking one word at a time.” “Our boss is known as Tiger, we’re part of the Axe Gang, one-fifth of Linchuan City’s territory is ours. A spacious house filled with various torture devices stood in the middle of the room, a burly man with developed muscles sat, looking like he practiced martial arts. Inside, more than a dozen of Axe Gang’s elites stood, donned in black suits, while at the center of the room a man lay on the ground with a bloodied face, angrily staring at the seated head of the Axe Gang. “Haha, the head of the Axe Gang is nothing but a coward that only knows how to stab people in the back,” spat the man on the ground. “Without your sneaky plots, how could you have taken me down?” Tiger smirked, “Wang Hao, should I call you naive or just plain childish? The underworld is all about deception; your performance is a disappointment, makes me think you’d be better off playing house, which is more your style.” “Hahaha” The surrounding Axe Gang members erupted into laughter as well. “Also, you really think my Axe Gang can’t swallow your tiny gang?” Tiger stood up and strode closer, “I just didn’t want to spill my brothers’ blood in vain. Your gang doesn’t stand a chance.” “Haha!” Wang Hao laughed loudly as well, “Oh really? Why don’t you face me one-on-one, I will beat you so hard even your mother won’t recognize you.” Someone at the side kicked Wang Hao, and Tiger shook his head in disdain, “With you looking like trash now, you still dare to be so arrogant. Just tell me your supply source nicely, and I’ll put you out of your misery.” Wang Hao groaned in pain, but his face showed scorn, “Want the supply source? Wang Hao revealed the source of the goods and added, “You’re going too far, and heaven will destroy you for it. Sooner or later, someone else will wipe out your Axe Gang!” The Tiger couldn’t help but burst into loud laughter, “Destroy my Axe Gang? Who dares?” “I dare!” Just then, with a “bam,” the door to the room was kicked open, and Li Chen’s figure appeared outside the door. The people who had been laughing uncontrollably suddenly stopped, turning their gaze towards Li Chen. The room went from raucous to eerily silent in an instant. But the silence lasted for less than two seconds before Tiger and the others burst into laughter again. “You, a greenhorn who hasn’t done anything, dare to run wild on Axe Gang’s turf?” the Tiger felt it was utterly absurd, “Are you tired of living?” “Exactly, where did this dumbass come from? Did your mom bump into a tree when she gave birth to you? Born with innate stupidity?” “This kid is seeking death. How can we not fulfill his wish?” The dozen or so elite members of the Axe Gang also laughed heartily alongside. Li Chen smiled indifferently, dragged the half-dead Red Hair over, and threw him to the ground. Seeing Red Hair, the members of the Axe Gang couldn’t help but change their expressions: “Kid, don’t even think about leaving here alive today.” “Boss, let me handle this kid,” said one of the Axe Gang members before walking towards Li Chen, and sneered coldly, “I’ll show you what cruelty is.” But the next second, all he saw was a blur before his eyes as the figure of Li Chen vanished, only to reappear in front of him with a powerful left hand grasping his throat! Li Chen lifted the man, and with a forceful twist of his hand, there was a crisp snap—the man’s throat was broken, and he died on the spot. “Too much talk,” Li Chen said lightly, releasing his hand, “Next.” This time, the faces of everyone in the Axe Gang tightened; the young man in front of them was clearly a master who had just killed Hawk in one move. The Tiger gave a meaningful glance to one of his men, who stepped forward, looking at Li Chen warily before pulling out a knife and charging at him. Li Chen shook his head, his movements as fast as lightning. He sidestepped, snatched the knife bare-handedly, and before the man could react, Li Chen had stabbed him viciously in the neck. Li Chen looked at the remaining people as the one behind him stiffened and slowly fell to the ground. “Might as well all come at once, save me the trouble,” Li Chen said indifferently, “I already took care of the lot outside for you, so you’ll be good company in the Underworld.” The members of the Axe Gang no longer bore their previous arrogant demeanor, and even the Tiger became cautious. The young man in front of them was too frighteningly strong. Li Chen gestured with a beckoning hand, signaling them to come at him together. “Grab your weapons and attack!” the Tiger suddenly roared. The remaining dozen members let out a loud battle cry, each brandishing their weapons and charging at Li Chen. But in the next moment, they realized that being many was utterly useless. Li Chen moved fluidly like a dragon, his body elegant. He evaded a slicing blade that merely cut through his afterimage and instead grabbed his assailant’s arm, turning the knife on the man’s own comrade! “Ah!” Screams rang out as the slaughter continued. Another man attacked from the side, but before getting close, he was kicked away, knocking down another man behind him as well. With focused eyes, Li Chen turned and, at the moment another attacker swept his knife, leaped lightly to end up behind him, grasping him with a reverse grip and lifting him effortlessly into the air! The man in front weighed no less than 170 pounds, yet Li Chen lifted him with ease, even while in mid-air, leaving Wang Hao on the sidelines dumbfounded. Like discarding trash, Li Chen threw the man in his hands, who landed like a ball in the distance and lay unconscious. Then Li Chen tapped his foot, and a dropped machete flew into the air. He kicked the handle and sent it shooting straight into an oncoming man, impaling him through the chest! As a few more men rushed him, Li Chen remained serene. With every move, he ensured another’s death. He was like an elegant swordsman from ancient times, his swordsmanship dazzling as he took heads amidst the crowd! In an instant, the area around Li Chen cleared, with still-warm bodies on the ground. A few remaining men swarmed him together, but in the blink of an eye, they were all knocked back, while Li Chen remained unruffled, his clothing untouched by them. Watching Li Chen in action, Wang Hao couldn’t help but burst into loud laughter, “Tiger, what goes around comes around, you got what you deserved. Did you think your Axe Gang would ever face such a day?” “Your turn,” Li Chen said, turning to the last man standing, the Axe Gang leader, Tiger. Tiger felt his back completely drenched in sweat. Was this person a devil? How could he be so terrifying? As the Tiger retreated step by step, his eyes filled with fright. Li Chen’s expression remained calm as he slowly approached, but at that moment, Tiger suddenly grabbed the handgun on his chair and aimed it at Li Chen. Li Chen paused in his steps, but his expression did not change in the slightest. “Haha!” Tiger laughed wildly, “No matter how powerful you are, what can you do? Can you outspeed a bullet?” Facing the dark muzzle of the gun, Li Chen suddenly smiled.
