However, she had already informed Chen Feng earlier through WeChat, asking him to have dinner without waiting for her. Of course, Chen Feng decided to wait for her to come back and eat together, since the two were now cohabiting. Chen Feng had given her money, but that didn’t mean he could disrespect or neglect her. Most importantly, after spending the past few days together, Sun Xiaorui had fairly satisfied Chen Feng in various aspects. And when Sun Xiaorui saw that Chen Feng had not eaten and was waiting for her to come back and eat together, she was both surprised and touched. After all, Chen Feng was now her financial backer and her boss. To show her such respect was truly rare. Her ex-boyfriend had never respected her like that; it was often she who would go hungry waiting for him to come back and eat together. It was rarely the other way around. Of course, she was past the age of easily getting emotionally stirred, and she quickly calmed herself down and headed to the kitchen to heat up the food. The two had a harmonious dinner together. Sun Xiaorui cleaned up the dishes and wiped down the table. Meanwhile, Chen Feng continued to sit in the living room like a lord, watching TV. The two sat shoulder to shoulder, watching TV and chatting casually, both appearing very natural and close to each other. If there had been a sense of unfamiliarity and distance before last night, those had disappeared after their intimate encounter last night. Sometimes, the magic between genders is just like that. "My family consists of four people, my parents and a younger brother. My brother is seven years younger than me and is currently in university. How about you?" The two continued to share deeper information about each other. "I have an older brother, and he has two daughters. My parents are ordinary farmers and are still in good health, and your parents?" "My dad is a retired manager from a state-owned enterprise, and my mom is a homemaker. My dad has some hypertension, but my mom is quite healthy." "Your dad is retired?" Chen Feng asked, puzzled. But my mom is thirteen years younger than my dad, so she was only thirty when my brother was born." Wow! Chen Feng was really surprised. Sun Xiaorui’s family indeed had quite the story. However, he knew it was not good to probe further. "What did you work as before?" Sun Xiaorui then inquired about Chen Feng’s profession. Chen Feng candidly replied, "I worked in a company before, now I’m unemployed." "What kind of company?" Sun Xiaorui further asked. "A cultural planning company." Chen Feng saw no need to lie to her. Sun Xiaorui nodded in realization, naturally assuming that Chen Feng must have been either the owner of the company or held a high position, with an annual salary of at least a million. Otherwise, it wouldn’t explain why Chen Feng was so wealthy, with a monthly villa rent of thirty thousand, and giving her fifty thousand a month, which added up to eighty thousand a month, nearly a million a year. "Where is your brother studying now?" Chen Feng asked with some interest about her "little brother-in-law". Sun Xiaorui smiled, "He’s in Xiu Zhou." "Ah, which university?" Chen Feng was slightly surprised. "Finance University." "Not bad, Finance University is apparently a first-tier university. Your brother must have good grades." "He’s just okay, I guess. His major would probably be considered second-tier. He took the college entrance exam last year and didn’t even score 600." "That’s still pretty good. We should invite him out for a meal sometime." As soon as Sun Xiaorui heard this, she perked up a bit, "Sure, but how should I introduce you then? Should I say you’re my boyfriend?" No woman is an exception. The creation of social media was basically for women to show off their travels, meals, luxury goods, children, love and so on. Those who don’t, just lack the means to do so." Chen Feng couldn’t help but laugh out loud. "Since you’re willing, let’s settle on that then. After we visit your brother, we’ll head off. In the meantime, we can start planning a bit. Since you like to share everything, you can handle that. I’ll just handle the expenses." "Got it, boss." "Don’t call me boss, call me Brother Feng or husband." Sun Xiaorui laughed, "Then I’ll stick to Brother Feng." "Husband wouldn’t work?" Sun Xiaorui shook her head proudly, "You haven’t officially made me your wife, and it would be pretentious of me to call you my husband, wouldn’t it?" Chen Feng laughed heartily, "Right. I like your straightforward personality. Keep it up." "Thank you for the compliment, sir." Sun Xiaorui immediately adopted a docile and obedient demeanor. As she did, it seemed almost a waste of emotional intelligence. Chen Feng shook his head, laughing, "You’re not a maid, why call me sir? You don’t need to be overly cautious, I’m easy to get along with." Sun Xiaorui laughed, "Of course I know you’re easy to get along with, sir. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been the one to chase after you initially." Upon hearing this, Chen Feng curiously asked, "Can you tell me why you chased after me initially?" Sun Xiaorui rolled her eyes, "I just wanted to get to know you at that time, it wasn’t about chasing you."
