Chapter 15 of "My SSS-Rank Dungeon: Reborn In A Reverse World" begins revealing exciting developments: Leon had thought hard to choose his weapon but couldn’t come to a decision because... Don’t stop now!

Leon had thought hard to choose his weapon but couldn’t come to a decision because he had never really used weapons properly, so he didn’t know which one would suit him the most. The most he had done was research weapons in his past life for the game. So, he knew a lot of things about weapons but still didn’t know which to choose. Seeing those two beautiful dark obsidian daggers with a zigzag pattern, he instantly fell in love with them. They were also his top choices for weapons because they were best suited for agility-type Awakened People. And he was already planning to use his speed to hunt in the dungeon. After all, speed would also allow him to escape from danger. In a place like his dungeon, where Elite monsters wandered around, escaping was often the best option. He took one of the daggers from Silver and played around with it a little. It was very lightweight and a little short for him, but it still fit quite well within his hands. He could feel that he could wield these daggers with some training. "Greetings, Sir. Welcome to the Wind Cloud Pavilion," a woman came towards them wearing a three-piece suit with a professional smile on her face. Seeing that he was trying out the daggers, she asked, "Would you like to try out your weapons in the training room?" "Yes. I would also like to see the Tier 1 Weapon Catalogue," Leon said, keeping his tone polite. The woman led them to the underground floor where most of the training rooms were, and some of them were even filled with people trying out their chosen weapons. As one of the top Artefact Suppliers, Wind Cloud Pavilion had lots of customers, especially in a place like Starlink Academy, where many geniuses studied. The woman stopped before an empty room with glass walls and urged them to enter. She also gave them a tablet on which they could check all the artefacts available in this branch of the pavilion. Then, she backed away and left them alone to do their work. The glass room was big but completely empty. Leon knew it probably had a Rune Formation that supported many functions, including a VR training room. The two of them wore VR bracelets, which looked like dark wristwatches. Silver stepped back after giving Leon both daggers. "All the best!" Leon nodded and asked, "Can you check out weapons for me till then?" "Sure!" Silver was happy to help. Leon took a deep breath and whispered, "Give me a Tier 1 monster. One-Horned Rabbits will do." In the next second, he saw the figure of a One-Horned Rabbit rising from the ground. It was a vicious monster that stood at the height of three metres, which wasn’t much different from the height of a Crimson Rabbit. This was the reason Leon had chosen it—it was the closest in both appearance and ability to that damned rabbit. There was one big difference between them, though: a forearm-length horn protruded from its forehead. One-Horned Rabbits also didn’t have the crimson eyes of the Crimson Rabbit. Surprisingly, the monster felt so real—as if it were standing in the flesh before him. This was the best version of VR technology in this world. ’This one seems quite weak, but then again, even I’m weak,’ Leon chuckled to himself and ordered the rabbit to kill him. The monster, which had been standing still until now, suddenly came alive. It roared and lunged at Leon while raising its sharp claws. The instant the monstrous One-Horned Rabbit lunged at him with a bone-shattering roar, Leon felt a rush of adrenaline surge through his limbs. His breath steadied, and his grip on the obsidian dagger tightened instinctively. The monster’s claws glinted under the artificial light of the Rune-powered training room, its weight shaking the ground with each leap. Leon pivoted to the side, his figure blurring slightly as he activated his skill [Sprint Boost]. The dagger in his hand slashed upward with practiced control, the zigzag edge scraping against the creature’s fur before it managed to dodge with an uncanny twist of its bulky body. "Damn... It moves faster than those bastards." Leon didn’t hesitate. His body dropped low, sliding beneath the second claw that came down to split him in half. He popped up behind the monster and slashed at its hind leg. The dagger moved like a whisper of wind, slicing through the air with a satisfying shhhk—it didn’t deal major damage, but it would’ve slowed the beast if this were real combat. To his surprise, the VR technology registered the damage and slowed down the monster’s movements. Silver watched from the glass with arms crossed, a thoughtful look on her face. She murmured to herself, "As expected of my Leo. He’s amazing at everything..." Leon, now moving in tandem with the dagger’s weight and reach, danced through the rabbit’s blows and returned small cuts on its limbs. But something gnawed at him. As smooth as the daggers were, they required him to stay close—almost too close. ’They will only work if I have chances of defeating the enemy quickly. If I let the battle drag out, it’ll be dangerous for me.’ After defeating the VR rabbit with a final dash and a stab into its neck, the monster pixelated into sparks and vanished. He stood still for a moment, catching his breath. "Switch weapon." He put the obsidian daggers away as they were real, unlike the other parts of this room. The system panel in front of him flashed and cycled through available Tier 1 options. Leon selected short sword, a lightweight blade with a straight edge. It materialized into his hand with a shimmer. Another rabbit emerged from the virtual earth, snorting violently as its horn aimed directly for his heart. This time, Leon raised the sword in a proper stance. His feet spread lightly across the rune-etched floor, his knees bent with practiced ease. The First Year of the Academy mostly focused on the basics of everything and taught students a variety of disciplines, which included movement techniques, proper weapon stances, and more. Combined with his knowledge from his previous life, Leon felt that he was decently informed about the basics of everything. When the monster charged, Leon didn’t sidestep. Instead, he stepped in. The short sword clashed with the horn, sparks flying as he deflected the thrust and spun around to slash at the creature’s flank. It roared and twisted midair to land on its feet, clearly dazed from the blow. He followed up with a precise stab toward its underbelly and then hopped back before it could retaliate. The fluidity of movement with the sword felt natural. Not as light as the daggers, but far more versatile in both offense and defense. "Feels balanced... but it’s missing something." The short sword cut down the second rabbit soon enough. This one gave him more trouble, but he was smiling now. He looked at the panel again. "Next weapon... spear."
