After all, how much could a subordinate truly matter to a Shichibukai? Did Crocodile really care enough to trouble the Marines over something so minor? As long as the dispute wasn't with a Shichibukai directly, it was hardly worth discussing. But this situation was different. To some extent, Crocodile had contributed to this operation. Even if Onigumo and Doberman both disliked the Shichibukai system, publicly humiliating one wasn't the smartest move. That was why Doberman spoke up. "A small conflict, nothing more. It's colorless, odorless, and invisible—yet extremely potent. It resembles certain spider venoms I've seen before, eating away at his internal organs. There's no saving him." "Onigumo..." Rosen murmured, recalling his multiple-limbed abilities. "Not even a chance?" "None. The poison has spread throughout his body. The only way to remove it would be through a full-body filtration, extracting it bit by bit. But with current medical technology, that's impossible—even if we had an antidote, the damage already done cannot be reversed." The mood on the ship was heavy. Death itself wasn't unusual.
