Kris Cooper reached out and grabbed the belt of Vera Wave’s bathrobe.
"Weren’t you the one who wanted to feel an ecstasy so intense it’s like dying and going to heaven, to wake up clinging to the walls, your back aching and legs weak? Well, I’m here to fulfill that wish!"
"No!" Vera grabbed the belt. "I... I can’t afford it!"
One million for each time, two million for another. Even if she were sold, she couldn’t afford it!
That silly girl is still worried about money! Kris Cooper was so furious he actually laughed, words squeezing out from between his teeth.
"Buy one get one free. This one’s on the house!"
"Wait!" Vera clung to her clothes. "I... I need to use the restroom!"
She had wanted to use the restroom when she first got up, but Kris Cooper’s interruption had made her forget. Now, under stress, she’d nearly wet the bed.
"Let me up!"
Shoving him away, she jumped off the bed, bolted from the bedroom, rushed into the bathroom, slammed the door shut, and locked it. Vera sagged onto the toilet, letting out a long sigh of relief.
After taking care of her needs, she washed her hands, walked to the door, and reached for the doorknob, then retracted her hand.
No, I need to think this through before I go out there again.
That guy is such a crook! A million per session. No way, I have to haggle with him. At least fifty percent off... no, ninety percent off!
But even at ninety percent off, it’s still a hundred thousand!
Vera grabbed her hair in frustration and sat back down on the toilet.
The bathroom was still misty from the steam, with a faint scent of lemon. She glanced around and saw a corner of Kris Cooper’s underwear in the laundry basket, which made her blush.
That guy... he isn’t just wearing a towel out there, is he?!
Hey, Vera, what are you thinking?!
Maybe I should... escape?!
With that thought, Vera immediately stood up from the toilet and looked around.
The bathroom only had one pitifully small window. Getting out that way was impossible. If the window wouldn’t work, then she would have to go through the door.
Quietly slipping on her large slippers, she edged the door open a crack and peeked outside. Not seeing Kris Cooper, she took a shallow breath, pulled the door open wider, stepped out of the bathroom, then turned and tiptoed forward like a little mouse.
She had just reached the hallway when she saw Kris Cooper emerge from the kitchen, carrying food.
"What, trying to escape?!"
"Of course... not!" Vera quickly forced a smile. "I was just thinking... you’ve worked so hard, you must be hungry. So... I was going to see if there was anything to eat in the kitchen?"
Her eyes landed on the yogurt and cake he was holding, and she unconsciously swallowed.
She didn’t know if he was hungry, but she was starving.
Taking in her expression, Kris Cooper knew at once she was lying.
That wretched girl, trying to run away again?!
"Come here."
He walked into the living room and sat on the sofa.
Vera knew she couldn’t escape, so she reluctantly followed and sat next to him.
Picking up the yogurt, she put on a flattering smile.
"Let me open it for you!"
After helping him open the lid and insert the straw, she smiled and handed the yogurt to him. "Um... look, we know each other so well now, and I’m practically a regular customer, right? So... could you maybe... give me a discount?"
"What kind of discount do you want?"
"Well... ninety percent off, how does that sound?"
"No way!"
"Why not? Last time, you only charged me a hundred thousand for the whole night."
"A whole night is a whole night; this is per session."
"Then I’ll take the whole night!"
"Are you sure?"
"I am!"
A million per session, or a hundred thousand for a whole night—even an idiot would know which one is the better deal.
