Now I’m still graceful and kind." Faye couldn’t help breaking out into laughter after finishing her sentence. The steak arrived, and Faye casually cut up Clara’s steak for her, sliding the plate in front of her. Clara raised her brows: "Such a stunning beauty suddenly displaying boyfriend energy? I think I might have a crush on you." "Crush away... Wait—not so fast. I actually came here with an agenda today. You can’t be fawning over me just yet, because I’m here to introduce you to a man." Clara burst into laughter: "Are you kidding me? Look at me right now. You’re trying to introduce me to a man? Don’t ruin this poor guy’s life, okay?" There, I met the grandson of the former mayor. You might’ve heard of him. He’s one of the rising stars in the business world and is doing really well in the industry. He now owns several listed companies, and his assets already exceed a billion. He’s definitely a promising catch." "I think I’ve heard of him, but I don’t know his name or what he looks like. From what you’re saying, though, he does seem pretty impressive." "Absolutely. I’ve met him in person. While he’s not as refined as your Uncle Oliver, he’s definitely outstanding as far as men go. Later that afternoon, after finishing a meeting, Hunter returned to his office and noticed a missed call on his phone. He called back, and Owen’s voice quickly came through on the other end. "Finished with work, Hunter?" Hunter flipped open the file on his desk absently, responding with a casual "Hmm." "Did you find anything out?" "You were right. The results of my investigation align with your predictions. Eight years ago, Sebastian did indeed transfer five million dollars to Walter Hansen’s account. On top of that, I’ve uncovered something even more intriguing." Hunter’s brows arched into an elegant curve, and his hand flipping the file paused. "Tell me." "Walter’s company has two major shareholders. One of them is a mystery—no one has ever seen them, and they never attend company meetings. Their voting rights are all handed over to Walter Hansen. Rumor has it this mystery shareholder is someone with the last name Sheldon... and it’s a woman." Hunter let out a soft snort, finding the whole situation amusing. "Hunter, it seems we’ve seriously underestimated Sebastian all these years. Turns out, she has a much more hidden side than we thought." "Owen, make sure Faye doesn’t find out about this for now." Owen laughed: "Don’t worry. You two can share your little marital secrets yourselves; I won’t meddle. If you need anything else, just let me know. But for now... I’ve got work to do." I’ll pass on the good news to him." "I’ll tell him myself." Faye pouted: "That’s so inconvenient. I’ll still need his number to arrange future meetups. You can’t always stay in the middle passing messages, can you?" "Why not? I don’t intend for anyone to have access to my wife’s phone number anyway." Faye couldn’t suppress a giggle: "Hunter, you’re so childish." Hunter’s mischievous grin didn’t bother with her opinion. At the party that day, Sean had called to tell him: ’Hunter, your wife is truly a goddess—she’s a hundred times more beautiful than any photo.’ That was when he realized taking her out to public events might not have been the best decision. His wife was stunning, so it was probably better to keep her hidden and avoid letting other men admire her. Otherwise, he’d feel very displeased. "This isn’t childish.
