"Ballack is moving actively in the front court, constantly pressing and intercepting, while also contributing with passes and long-range shots!"
Ballack was brimming with fighting spirit.
He was in even better form than in the previous leg.
Suker was also up front, and with no one marking Ballack as closely as him, Ballack had significantly more chances to shine.
Thanks to Ballack's impact, Makaay and Pizarro gradually found their rhythm too.
When the ball reached Ballack, he feigned a shot and passed it to Pizarro instead.
Pizarro tried to shake off the defender with a feint, but Simic didn't buy it and held his ground firmly.
Left with no better option, Pizarro pushed the ball forward and crossed it into the box.
The ball soared toward the penalty area, and Ballack tried to get his head on it, but goalkeeper Dida reacted swiftly, punching the ball away with both fists.
The ball landed at Pirlo's feet.
Pirlo turned, looking for Kaka, but spotted the eager Inzaghi.
Pirlo took a step and launched a long pass.
Inzaghi darted forward, timing his run perfectly to leave Lucio behind, with Lahm chasing closely.
"Inzaghi!! Making the run forward!"
Inzaghi caught up to the ball and stopped it near the byline.
But by then, Lucio and Lahm had both caught up.
With no angle to shoot, Inzaghi considered trying to break through.
"Pass it back! Pass it back! Pass it back!"
Suker's impatient voice rang out.
Inzaghi reluctantly passed the ball back.
Kaka received it and quickly switched play.
Suker got the ball on the left side.
Bayern Munich's defense shifted towards the left, becoming densely packed.
Normally, in this situation, the ball should be passed back to reorganize the attack.
But Suker thought differently!
"Suker makes his move! He's going to break through!"
Suk charged in from the side, cutting horizontally into the box.
Bayern defender Ismael stepped up to pressure him.
The memory of the last leg still haunted him.
Wait for the right moment!Wait for the right moment!Wait for the right moment!
Ismael reminded himself repeatedly, staring at Suker's feet.
He was waiting for Suker to take a heavy touch so he could intercept.
But Suker kept tight control, the ball glued to his feet, leaving no opportunity to challenge.
How the hell do I stop this?
Cold sweat began to bead on Ismael's forehead.
Suddenly, Suker nudged the ball laterally, seeming to try a wide dribble around him.
A chance!
Ismael's eyes lit up—he could step in and separate Suker from the ball.
But the moment he moved, Suker exploded forward with shocking acceleration and caught up with the ball in an instant.
Before Ismael could react, Suker had already blown past him.
"SUKER!!! He's broken through! Creates space for the shot!"
Suker found his angle and curled a shot towards the far corner.
Kahn's heart skipped—he leapt right, airborne.
Barely, he managed to slap the ball away.
"Cover him!!"
Kahn shouted after punching the ball out.
But as he lifted his head, he saw the flowing locks of Inzaghi appearing right in front of the ball.
"Damn it!"
Kahn muttered under his breath.
Whoosh!!The net rippled!Inzaghi had scored on the rebound!
"Inzaghi!! He appears at the crucial moment and scores on the rebound!!"
"It's always like this—whenever Kahn faces Inzaghi, something strange happens, and he concedes!"
"Just like that goal. Kahn had already made a great save, but Inzaghi was right there for the rebound!"
Aldo Serena grinned.
Truly, he's Kahn's nemesis!
"Eat, sleep, crush Bayern"—Inzaghi was making a massive impact!
"Bayern's defense is really struggling against Suker and Inzaghi!"
German defenders are certainly tough—
But they're also clumsy!
Against players like Shevchenko, they might hold their own.
But against Inzaghi's ghost-like runs, they're helpless.
And with the agile Suker constantly threatening from the wing, Bayern's defense was being torn apart.
This gave Inzaghi even more room to shine.
The better Suker played and the more defenders he drew, the deadlier Inzaghi became.
Both are knife-wielders.
One in the light, the other in the shadows—Complementing each other!
Sometimes they even hand each other the blade.Totally unguardable!
"Hey! Don't lose Inzaghi!! Mark him! Mark him!! Damn it!!"
Kahn roared like a madman.
The louder he yelled, the more nervous he was.
On the AC Milan side, Suker and Inzaghi ran toward the stands.
The two celebrated the goal together.
In the stands, Milan fans erupted in cheers.
Suker even spotted the South Stand leader Bob clinging to the barrier, yelling like a wild man.
He looked ready to devour someone!
"Why'd you go for the curler?" Inzaghi asked after celebrating.
Suker: "Thought I'd try my luck—maybe you'd get the rebound."
Suker really was just taking a shot.
If it went in, great. If not, no big deal.
But deep down, he hoped Inzaghi would be there for the follow-up.
And he was!
So, against Kahn, Inzaghi was just the right weapon.
Back in their half, AC Milan had already scored in the 11th minute.
That goal made Bayern Munich's situation even more dire.
But that was only the beginning!
When the match resumed, Milan ramped up their attacks even more.
With Inzaghi scoring, Bayern naturally began focusing on him more.
That opened the door for Suker to make sneaky runs.
And his runs were even deadlier!
In the 18th minute, Seedorf intercepted the ball up front, got up, and immediately fed it forward.
Suker exploded into a sprint.
His speed was insane—just two steps and he was already clear.
He chased the ball down and fired a low shot at goal.
Whoosh!!
Into the net!
Just as Suker was about to celebrate—the whistle blew.
Suker turned—flag up. Offside.
In the 23rd minute, Kaka threaded a ball forward—Inzaghi slipped in and scored in front of Kahn.
Whistle again.
Offside.
27th minute—Suker received from Kaka, drew defenders in, and slipped it to Inzaghi—
Offside again!
"Damn it!! Are these refs blind? We started our runs at the same time and still got called!"
Suker was furious.
He desperately wanted VAR—three goals chalked off, frustration mounting!
"AC Milan has been repeatedly flagged offside. The referee's decisions are overly strict. On the last one, the replay clearly shows Inzaghi wasn't offside!"
Commentator Aldo Serena voiced his displeasure.
The first two might be questionable.
But the last one was clearly legal—and still ruled out.
The Milan fans weren't having it either.
They began to rain down boos, pressuring the referee.
Milan's players surrounded the ref in protest.
He was visibly shaken.
Clearly, even he lacked confidence in his decisions.
If Milan lost due to these calls, he'd be in hot water.
"Keep feeding the through balls. He won't dare blow the whistle next time!"
Suker told Kaka.
Kaka nodded.
Any more and it would be blatant bias!
AC Milan dropped back into defense. After kickoff, Bayern looked disoriented.
Suker and Inzaghi had disrupted their rhythm completely.
Not just the defense—even Kahn was at his wit's end.
These constant runs—once or twice was fine—but they kept working, piling pressure on the keeper.
Sweat glistened on Kahn's forehead.
His eyes darted constantly between Suk and Inzaghi, trying to track both and alert his teammates.
While his attention flicked between the two, teammate Ismael suddenly shouted, "Watch out!"
Kahn looked up in confusion.
The ball was already sailing over his head!
"Crap!!"
He scrambled back.
Those damn sneaky Milan players had taken advantage of his distraction—and gone for a lob!
"Kaka chips it! What a surprising shot—Kahn didn't even react—it's in!!"
Aldo Serena jumped up, shouting excitedly:"It's in!! A goal!!! KAKA!!! What a brilliant chip!!"
"Kaka saw that Kahn was off his line and executed a cunning lob. Kahn didn't react in time, and Milan score again in the 34th minute!"
"After three disallowed goals, AC Milan extend their lead!!"
Kaka celebrated.
Suker turned to look at Kahn.
Today, the German Lion looked particularly miserable.
Kaka's lob was cheeky—catching Kahn out while he was distracted by Suker and Inzaghi.
Second leg: two goals ahead.
Aggregate score: AC Milan 4 – 1 Bayern Munich.
Milan was firmly in control—what did Bayern have left to turn this around?
Suker shook his head, thinking:"This really is a hard counter matchup!"
