317: Chapter 315: What Shameful Thing Are You Doing to That Hand?
Shou cleverly sat in front of Baili An, biting his finger as he looked at him.
His two little feet rested habitually between Baili An’s legs, his actions revealing a customary dependency.
Shou stared at him with those big, watery eyes, as if he could never get enough.
Though he had only met Shou once, the little guy was very warm and generous toward him.
Baili An also felt an inexplicable closeness to him; he smiled and kissed his head, saying, “Shou, what are you doing here?
Where is your master?”
He remembered that Miss Yin highly valued and was anxious about Shou; how could she let him wander alone in a dangerous place like Ghost Mountain?
Thinking this, she must be nearby.
At that thought, instead of feeling relieved, Baili An felt an inexplicable pressure.
The teachings of Jin Sheng were still vivid in his mind: there were two women in the world you should never provoke.
And Miss Yin was one of them.
Although Baili An liked Shou very much, he honestly struggled to handle such women.
After all, he had suffered a great deal at the hands of these two unapproachable women.
Oblivious Shou did not sense the complex turmoil inside Baili An.
Upon hearing him ask about Yin Baishuang’s whereabouts, Shou’s plump, bun-like face instantly brightened up and he perked up.
He excitedly jumped up from the ground, grabbed Baili An’s hand, and headed in a certain direction with a jaunty step.
Looking at the little figure, he was obviously keen to bring him to his master.
Baili An was startled by his enthusiasm, unable to comprehend why Shou was so eager to have him meet Miss Yin.
Anyone who didn’t know better might think the little guy was trying to find himself a step-father.
“Uh, Shou, don’t get too excited.
I was just asking casually, I didn’t mean to meet your master.”
He remembered that although Yin Baishuang was powerful, she was extremely petty and couldn’t stand to see Shou getting close to him.
If Shou took him by the hand to meet her, he would undoubtedly face her cold disdain.
Upon hearing that he didn’t want to go with him to see Yin Baishuang, Shou’s little face instantly fell.
His whole persona turned listless, his eyes looked gloomy as he gazed at him like a scorned lover.
Seeing that Baili An was serious and not merely being petulant, tears began to roll down from Shou’s eyes.
He pouted, let go of his hand, turned his back, and squatted on the ground to sadly wipe his tears.
It was unclear who he had learned it from, but the little guy wept like a girl, with tears streaming down like rain, looking pitiful.
Baili An’s arms stiffened, and he felt enormously awkward, not knowing how to console him; the situation made him feel truly like one of those heartless scoundrels from the tales of Xuanshui Lord.
He squatted down and nudged Shou’s head, “Hey…
Shou, stop crying.”
Shou wriggled his bottom, showing his reluctance to listen to him, crying so hard that three hairs on his forehead stood up.
Baili An really didn’t know what to do, “Okay then, Shou’s master is probably searching for you everywhere.
I’ll go with you to find her.
This is Ghost Mountain, don’t run around anymore.”
Shou immediately cried tears of joy, leading the way in front.
Baili An carried the unconscious Fang Geyu on his back and followed him.
But scarcely had the little guide taken two steps when he trembled, like stepping on a nail, and then under Baili An’s curious gaze, he abruptly sat on the ground.
“Uh?
What happened?” Baili An asked.
Who knew the tear-stained little guy would turn his face away guiltily, puckering his lips as he quietly whistled a silent tune.
His plump buttocks quivered nervously, his eyes signaling Baili An to move on quickly, asserting that he had nothing hidden under his butt.
Baili An thought to himself, how could there be anything in Ghost Mountain worth him being so nervous about hiding.
He chuckled, “Shou, if you’ve found treasure or something tasty, you don’t have to be sneaky.
You saved me; I won’t take it from you, don’t worry.”
Saying this, he puffed out his chest, looking quite honorable, “I can even help you dig for treasure.”
Shou huffed and blew on three tufts of hair on his forehead, his face full of disdain, and spat out a cool breath.
What kind of treasure could this guy be, other than a big disaster!
He wanted to eliminate this big disaster for his master, but faced with Baili An, he couldn’t openly kick him when he was down.
It was troubling.
The little guy could only keep making faces at Baili An, indicating he had nothing hidden, hoping to fool him and then give him a couple more kicks later on.
Baili An glanced at him with a half-smile, making Shou nervously lower his head, fidgeting with his big red belly-band.
He had always been well-behaved, never resorting to tricks in his presence before.
Today was the first time.
But today, Shou was determined to risk it all for his mistress!
Even if it meant getting spanked later, he had no complaints.
Seeing his awkwardness, Baili An couldn’t help but chuckle and didn’t make things too difficult for him.
He took a step forward.
His large, sneaky eyes watched Baili An’s back as he stood up.
It turned out that under his bottom, there was a clean and beautiful hand hidden.
Now, they were all walking on the countless tree vines of the Tree Demon, intertwined and crisscross like a ground formed of numerous roots, and the owner of this hand was also entangled by the tree vines, buried layer by layer with only one hand left outside.
Shou bent over, rubbing his hands together eagerly.
He gestured and summoned a cloud of black yin spirit mist, condensing into a big turtle-headed knife.
A mischievous smile appeared on his innocent face as he raised his head and measured the knife, seemingly ready to stab the person below.
But as he measured, his face twisted again.
His master had told him that, though born a Yin Spirit Ghost, inherently filled with malevolent intent, as long as he harbored no ill-will towards others and remained diligent and hardworking, one day he would become a Ghost Immortal, his master would be proud of.
Then, he could openly stay by his master’s side, rather than hiding day and night in that narrow, cold little coffin, afraid of being seen.
Suddenly remembering these past events, his eyes involuntarily brimmed with tears again, his hand loosened, and the turtle-headed knife instantly dispersed into black mist.
He thought: Never mind, even if I don’t stab you, now that you’re trapped by the Demon Vine, you’ll eventually be dragged down and eaten anyway.
After kicking his small legs, Shou still felt a bit reluctant.
He puffed up his bun-like face, looking at the slender, beautiful hand, and twisted his buttocks, feeling unconvinced.
Maybe he should conjure up a lump of stinky poop to drop on her hand, to vent a bit for Xiao Shuang.
No sooner said than done.
Shou smoothed down the non-existent sleeves on his round little arms, ready to make a big mess.
But before he could even stick his butt out, he heard a voice behind him: “Shou, did you bring toilet paper?”
Shou, frightened, had all three hairs on his forehead stand on end, jumping three feet high.
That scared the bejeezus out of Shou!
Whether human or ghost, one really shouldn’t recklessly do unscrupulous things.
