This causes Cao Cao and Liu Bei to both decide to hold off the attack for another day, while it’s the prelude to the battle between Cao Cao and Liu Bei against Lu Bu, at the South in Yang Province, Group B of Lie Fan’s army managed to conquer Wanling after half a month siege. Wanling is the capital of Wanling County, so it was a great feat for Group Army B under Huang Zhong as it could serve as a supply point for them with Jianye County to the north, as it was near the northern border. Huang Zhong then convened with Dian Wei and Zhang Chao alongside their advisors, trying to formulate a plan where each army would split and subjugate Wanling County faster. They at first planned to rest in this small town for a day or two, but after receiving complaints from their family, they relented and decided to extend their rest there for around a week or more. This was a bad move from the two of them, as they were located in the center of Wanling County, and the Port they were heading toward was in the Northwest of Wanling County, if they headed there a week from now to more they were still safe from Dian Wei and The Baihu Army. Since it was a small town, Huang Zhong and Liu Ba had the Qinlong Arny encircle the town, cutting off any stragglers that planned to flee the town, and blocking Yu Fan and He Qi from leasing their family to flee. They don’t have anywhere to go now, both Yu Fan and He Qi could only blame themselves for not staying true to their conviction, and choosing to listen to their family which now leads them to this situation. The Town Army could only hold off the Qinlong Army under Huang Zhong and Liu Ba lead for around 3 hours before succumbing to the onslaught, allowing Huang Zhong to capture the town. Sensing that they have a chance to sneak off and flee from the town alongside their family, Yu Fan and He Qi do so leading their family toward the Western Gate, and when they arrive there they are met with Huang Zhong leading his unit waiting for them.
