When Lu Bu and his army arrived, they saw how Puyang still stood tall which made Lu Bu finally rest easy. They entered Puyang through the Western gate, and Lu Bu brought Chen Gong and all of his generals to the Eastern gate. There Lu Bu finally meets with Zhang Miao and the others who are ecstatic that Lu Bu finally comes, but what surprises him the most is the presence of Lu Lingqi alongside many women whom he knew was a unit that he allowed Lu Lingqi to have. Lu Bu wanted to scold her and punish Zhang Miao, but seeing the time was not right he held himself from doing so, Chen Gong then took over the defense from Zhang Miao and began to close some openings in their defense that Zhang Miao didn’t notice. All of Lu Bu’s men who were now around 90,000 men defended the wall by joining the defense, and Cao Ren who was below could see the additional men standing atop the wall so he knew Lu Bu was back which meant their plan work. Cao Ren slowly reduced the intensity of his attack, which caused Chen Gong to be confused at first but then he was suddenly enlightened, realizing that this was also a trap or trick being set by Guo Jia.
