Mu Yan’s smiling lips were evident as he leaped across to the opposite side with agility. Zhan Lan’s heartbeat slowed for an instant, a surge of thrill rushing within her. She watched Mu Yan’s nimble movements and murmured suspiciously, “Which one of us is actually drunk...” Gazing at Mu Yan’s departing figure, tenderness flowed through Zhan Lan’s eyes, her pupils holding a touch of warmth that she did not often reveal. Suddenly thinking of something, she quickly returned to her room. After all, the bed sheets were infused with the woody fragrance and the smell of wine from Mu Yan’s body; she had to change them to prevent her mother from noticing anything. ...
