Chapter 57: Eyes On The FrontlineNext day, early in the morning, All the players were gathered at the center of the field, engrossed in the drills they were doing. Haruma had the ball at his feets performing dribbles, working on his control. Itsuki, Izaya and Nagisa practiced on long range passes, helping each other throughout the session. Kurogami and Raya were on penalties, taking back to back shots. While Jiho and Haru were shirtless, both doing sit ups. Just then Raon and Minato sensei approached them, drawing everyone’s attention making them pause on their drills. Coming to a stop, Minato sensei smiles, "I’m feeling proud seeing you all here before the time of practice." he said warmly. All the players quickly gathered before him, getting attentive, placing all their attention on him. Raon with a smile added, "And sorry we are late, but we’ve got good news." he paused, bubbling with excitement, "U17 Tokyo Wolves jersey Is here!" A sparkle of joy and excitement ripple through all the players, as they all exchange smiles and excited glances. Haruma stood with a straight face, eyes sharp with focus. Minato sensei turned to the sidelines from where a few courier guys stepped on the field, all carrying three or four sports bags. They placed all the bags before them before giving a nod to Minato sensei and leaving the field. Minato sensei looks at Raon, who upon having the permission walks forward, "I got you all!" He began distributing the bags by watching the names on the tag of the bag. All were eagerly accepting the bags, their joy and excitement clear on their faces. "Haruma!" Raon extends a bag to him. Looking at the bag for a second, Haruma tooks it, keeping his eyes on the bag, watching his name on the tag. Once the bags were distributed Raon moved back to his spot next to Minato. With a smile on his face, Minato sensei said, "Feel free to open!" All the players eagerly put the bag down, opening the zippers, with uncontainable excitement. Haruma puts the bag on the grass and comes to his knees, opens the zipper to see a black jersey with red stripes, Tokyo Wolves U17 logo adoring on the right chest and a JFC U17 2042 logo on the left chest. Haruma takes a deep breath, keeping his eyes on the jersey before reaching for it, helding it and pulling it out of the bag holding it before him. His eyes were wide watching an elegant black fit, with just shoulders and armpits having red stripes, and at the hem of shirt there was a hint of red dragon in red color. Watching it for a second he turned it around only to get his eyes widened. Adorned in red, Haruma with the jersey number 22 was on the back. Haruma was watching his name and number with slight tears in his eyes, his heart breathing shallows, hands slightly shaking. "Woohoo!" Jiho sprang to his feets holding his shirt close to his chest! "Hell Yeah! It’s fantastic!" Izaya holding his jersey began bouncing on his feets, "Yeahhh! I loved it! it’s a dream!" Kurogami was holding his jersey in silence which was all red with a faded black pattern on the front. With a proud smile adorning Minato’s face he said, "Get dressed, JFC management has sent photographers for your photo shoot." His words caused a heavy silence over everyone, as they were looking at Minato with wide eyes. Jiho and Izaya’s eyes were shining with excitement and joy. Raya, Itsuki and Nagisa were smiling warmly. While Haruma tightened his grip on his jersey, eyes locked on his name... Standing in the dark, Haruma wore the Tokyo Wolves jersey with his name adorned on his back, Tokyo Wolves U17 on his chest, he wore the additional black sleeves, sitting on a bench wearing sports socks placing the shin guards, wearing his golden boots, tying it securely. Haruma now stood straight, his head lowered, fists clenched tightly, looking up to reveal his face etched with unshaken focus and determination. He walks forward, coming out of the darkness to step directly on the field, his back turned, displaying his name under the sun with all his friends at the center having their photoshoot... Inside Hanaka high school, In their classrooms Toru, his friends Masaru and Rukia were all engrossed in their lesson, as the teacher was taking the class. Just then the principal with a slight smile tugging at his lips walks inside the classroom, drawing everyone’s attention who all sat straight. The principal turned to the teacher, "If you don’t mind, I’ll have a second of your class." The teacher nodded and stepped aside letting the principal take the attention. The principal turned to the students, smiled warmly and took control of the project ahead. All the students were exchanging silent murmurs, all seeming confused, keeping their eyes on the principal who was putting something on a projector. Toru was watching with burrows furrowed in confusion, Masaru and Rukia seemed equally stunned... Inside Haruma’s apartment, his mother was in the kitchen, cooking something on the stove, when a notification rang on her phone. Slowing down the stove she walks to her phone and switches it on and opens the content for only having her eyes shot open with disbelief as chills run down her spine... At the Kento Takayama house, Ayane Takayama the eldest daughter was in her room sitting on a writing table wearing glasses writing her notes, there was complete silence and calmness around her when suddenly, her dad’s roar of excitement echoed around the house, flinching her.
