Chapter 47: Up Next, Is The Black Kallor!Minato sensei turned to the players on the sidelines and called out, "Izaya! you are taking the penalty next!" A spark of determination lit up Izaya’s face, his tongue instinctively coming between his lips, a familiar sign of his focus. All the eyes turned to Izaya, with Jiho brimming with raw energy and confidence, patting Izaya’s back firmly. "You got this Izaya!" Jiho shouted, his voice loud with uncontainable energy and unwavering confidence. Izaya’s with slow determined steps began walking towards the penalty spot, where, at the goal stood Kurogami, calm and composed, ready for the next challenge. From the sidelines Haruma was watching intently, keeping his eyes on Izaya, "This surely is going to be an exciting one." He muttered under his breath. Izaya took his position, trapping the ball beneath his foot, staring straight ahead at Kurogami. Staring back at Izaya, Kurogami slightly smirked, and crouched down, raising his arms and fixing his eyes on Izaya. Izaya slid his tongue between his lips, before taking a few steps backwards, eyes wide with focus locked on the ball ahead. "Come on Izaya! Come on!" Jiho cheered on from the sidelines, clapping with uncontainable energy, backing Izaya. Izaya’s wide opened eyes were brimming with unsettling focus, as he slid his tongue between his lips once again, before beginning to jog towards the ball. Kurogami crouched further, his eyes firmly fixed on the ball, every muscle coiled with concentration. Izaya swung his foot and met the ball with a serious impact, sending it blazing towards the far right side of the nets. Kurogami’s eyes flared with focus as he launched himself towards the ball, outstretching his body and arms as far as they could. still slightly in air, his both hands meet with the ball with a sharp thud, blocking it successfully. Just as he crashed on the ground from the dive, he immediately snapped his eyes forward. Only to find the ball rolling back to the play after getting deflected off his hands... and Izaya was already charging at the ball, his eyes still wide with the same intensity, biting his tongue hard between his lips. From the sidelines everyone held their breaths, their wide eyes fixed on the play, the air thick with anticipation. The ball was rolling towards Izaya, who was closing in with clear intent. Kurogami scrambles to regain his footing but before he could actually do it. Izaya was already at the ball, near the nets. Without missing any other second he swung his foot and smacked the ball towards the exposed wider right side of the nets. Without missing a beat, Kurogami half way to his feets, launched himself backwards towards the exposed right side of the nets. Twisting his body mid-air to face the shot, stretching his body and arms open, just in time for the ball to slam against his chest with a sharp thud, as he held it firmly against his chest, crashing on ground. Jiho’s jaw clenched tight as he ran his finger through his hair pulling them with a frustrated yell, clearly pissed. Next to him, Nagisa stood still with his arms crossed, studying the save with sharp narrowed eyes. Itsuki slowly shook his head in disbelief, muttering under his breath, "He’s a freak! how can he stop everything!" Raya wipes the sweat from his forehead and exhales a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding, "He’s a serious goalkeeper for sure!" His voice low with awe. Meanwhile Izaya on the field was standing still, his eyes wide with disbelief staring at Kurogami still lying on the ground, with the ball secured tightly against his chest. From the stands, a big satisfied smirk appeared on Kento’s face as he leaned back in his seat, arms crossed. Next to her father, Mio was watching with slightly wide eyes, "Father, is brother Kurogami alright?" she asked softly. Maintaining his smirk, Kento kept his eyes locked on Kurogami, who remained motionless after the save. With a calm tone Kento replied, "Don’t worry sweetheart, he’s more than alright." Minato sensei and Raon were stunned too, watching Kurogami still lying on the ground. "You okay Kurogami?" Roan finally called out loud, concern clear in his voice. With his forehead shadowed with darkness, Kurogami let out a sharp breath, and slowly began to rise to his feets, all while holding the ball tightly against his chest. Once standing tall, he dropped the ball and with a firm hand, he calmly began to wipe off the dust from his shoulder. From the sidelines, Jiho clenched his jaw as his frustration began to bubble over, "Minato sensei!" He barked, "let Raya take the next shot he has scored against him once, he can do it again! Taken aback, Raya swiftly turned to Jiho, "You can’t just order him around, jiho!" His voice clearly held a hint of fear. Minato sensei’s gaze then swept over the players on the sidelines before locking in, "Haruma!" He called out firmly, "You’ll take the next shot!" Haruma’s eyes flew open in disbelief, Raya, Jiho, Itsuki, everyone’s head snapped to Haruma, the air suddenly charged with anticipation. Kento’s eyebrows shot up high, "Wow! Minato really putting them up against?" he said leaning forward with growing interest, "This is going to be fun." Back on the sidelines, Haruma, still standing among his teammates, slightly turned his head to Kurogami to find him already staring at him with deadly eyes, like a predator quietly staring at its prey. Haruma drew in a deep breath before slowly exhaling, composing himself. With all eyes locked on him, Haruma stepped forward, walking towards the penalty spot. From the stands, Mio’s face instantly lit up with excitement, as she quickly stood on her seat, "Father! Is brother Haruma going to play next?" With a gentle smile on his face, Kento nodded, "Yes sweetheart, It’s Haruma playing!" On the field, Haruma now stood taking his position, the ball resting at his feets. His eyes locked ahead on Kurogami who was still staring back at him, with his jaw clenched and teeths bared in seething fury. Haruma closed his eyes for a moment, drawing in a deep breath before slowly exhaling, his breaths clearly fogging the air in front of him. Kurogami seething with fury, crouched low and side raised his arms, "Come at me with everything you got Harumaaa!" He called out loud, his voice rough and brimming with rage. Haruma opened his eyes filled with deadly calm and unshakable resolve. Taking a few steps back before jogging forward, swinging his foot at the ball. Kurogami’s jaw clenched tight, the muscles from his legs bulging, ready to explode into motion. Haruma’s foot struck the ball, firing it towards the top right corner. Everyone’s eyes followed the ball traveling at the nets, the shot accurate but unexpectedly lacking the speed and power. With a fierce roar, Kurogami launched himself to the right, diving into the air with his arms outstretched to its full, closing in on the approaching ball. Everyone was watching in tense silence, their jaws tightening with anticipation. Kento sat frozen, eyes wide, locked on the play. As the ball closed in on his hand, Kurogami, still in the air, outstretched his arms to its limit, but the ball slightly brushed against his fingertips. Making his heart stop for a moment, his eyes snapping open in utter disbelief. In a heartbeat later, the ball brushed past his fingertips and slammed into the back of nets, curling perfectly on the top right corner, a flawless untouchable goal. Kurogami crashed on the ground hard, and the ball fell inside the nets. From the stands, Kento was gazing at the scene with wide stunned eyes, his hands covering his mouth. Jiho’s eyes flew open enough to pop out of disbelief. Besides him Itsuki stood still with his jaw hanging with his breath stuck in mid-chest Nagisa stood frozen, his eyes wide and mouth slightly agape. Izaya, the performer, dramatically swayed from side to side, clutching his head like he was about to faint. Kabuto’s eyes were sparkling with joy, before his mouth got stretched in a wide, open mouthed grin. While Haruma was standing still, with his eyes wide opened, expressions still calm and composed, breathing in slow gasps. Next to Kento, Mio’s smile shines brightly as she bursts into giggles and begins clapping high above her head, bouncing excitedly on her seat with uncontainable joy. Her sharp claps bring everyone out of the daze of their disbelief. Jiho clenched his jaw, letting out a fierce roar before leaping up high in the air, storming towards Haruma with a bolt of energy. Seconds later, Izaya, Kabuto, Itsuki and a few others took off after him, invading the field. Reaching Haruma first, Jiho threw himself at Haruma, wrapping his arms around his waist and lifting him off the ground still roaring. Soon enough, the remaining ones charged in piling around Haruma circling him in a sea of pats and cheers, the atmosphere was buzzing with jubilant celebrations.
