Aozawa mentally applauded this series of Transformations as the familiar roar of the wind returned to his ears. He set his course and flew straight toward Adachi District. Colorful neon signs dotted the landscape between high-rise buildings. Some streets, though lit by streetlights, were devoid of pedestrians, while the commercial district’s roads teemed with people. In Tokyo, prosperity and desolation were often just a street apart. Aozawa returned to the park, dived, and the moment he landed in the woods, he reverted to his original form. He took out his phone to check the time: 8:50 p.m. Then, he hurriedly ran back to Ayase Apartment.
