Chapter 14 -14-Multiracial Commerce LeagueDue to his personality, Daniel rarely wandered about the capital without a purpose. In fact, this was the first time he had ever come near the teleportation plaza. Because this area constantly bustled with adventurers coming and going, a wide variety of shops had sprung up around it. To put it simply—if you had enough gold coins, there was nothing here you couldn't buy. Anything you desired, from rare elixirs to forbidden magic tomes, even illicit services... was for sale. But Daniel hadn't come here for shopping today. His visit had a different aim entirely. Based on the current state of affairs across the continent, while humans and the other races didn't get along all that harmoniously, and even though tension and conflict did exist under the surface, on a superficial level, most races still maintained a fragile truce—a semblance of diplomacy. Thus, a commerce league symbolizing inter-racial cooperation had emerged: the Multiracial Commerce League, a sprawling consortium founded through the collective efforts of nearly every race on the continent. The reach of the Multiracial Commerce League's operations was immense—its trade routes spanned across nearly every corner of the known world. Though composed of many regional branches representing various races, they were all united under one banner. For example, the Human Branch of the Multiracial Commerce League was led by the same person who oversaw the renowned Violet Commerce Guild. In other words, while Violet Commerce was known as the most elite mercantile power among humans, it was technically only a subsidiary of the greater League. Daniel hadn't come here to purchase rare materials—he was flat broke at the moment. With the pitiful amount of gold coin he had left, there was no way he could afford even a fraction of the high-end goods available here. He had come for one thing and one thing only: a competition being hosted by the League— The Leveling Tournament! The rules of the tournament were simple: Among all the new adventurers who had recently awakened their talents, whoever could reach Tier-6 first would be awarded a jaw-dropping prize of 1,000,000 gold coins! The purpose behind this prize wasn't just to generate publicity. It was a strategic move by the League—an effort to uplift the overall strength of all races through healthy competition. It was worth noting that this sort of tournament wasn't unique to humans. Other races held their own versions of it too, designed to identify and incentivize their most promising newcomers. For Daniel—currently in a financial crisis—this was practically a godsend. Who would ever say no to free gold coins? And not just any sum— a full million gold coins! With that much money in hand, he'd be one step closer to crafting the legendary item he'd been dreaming of: "Ode to Life." Though that goal still felt far away and almost unattainable, at least now, it was no longer just a fantasy. He had already gathered one of the required ingredients—a strip of bark from the Elder Tree of the Elves. At present, Daniel's biggest shortcoming wasn't damage, nor spellcasting speed. It was his HP—his survivability. Technically, his current HP was acceptable for someone at his level. But Daniel knew all too well that as the enemies he faced grew more powerful, the damage they inflicted would scale accordingly. And if his HP pool remained as shallow as it was now, he might end up getting one-shot by mere splash damage from a future boss battle. A terrifying thought. Even though his Shield Points were currently quite strong, he was well aware that shields didn't protect against everything. Poisons, curses, and corruption effects would bypass the shield entirely. Besides, in places like the underground labyrinth, he had the luxury of resurrection mechanisms. But the real world offered no such second chances. If he died out there—he stayed dead. Which was why, in his notebook, boosting HP was one of his top priorities. If he could distribute stat points freely during level-ups, he would've already dumped 30 points straight into vitality without hesitation. This was also why he was so fixated on "Ode to Life." Its passive effect was straightforward yet immensely powerful: For every monster killed from a different race, gain +100 HP permanently. With Daniel's current farming efficiency, racking up a few million HP would be child's play. Shaking his head to clear the cluttered thoughts, Daniel stepped into the vast commercial complex that housed the Multiracial Commerce League. Searᴄh the nôvelFire.net website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality. To his surprise, the interior design wasn't all that different from Violet Commerce. Perhaps because both branches were run by the same person, the only real distinction was that this venue was noticeably larger. Otherwise, the aesthetics and layout were nearly identical. Under the assistance of a receptionist, Daniel verified his identity and completed his tier assessment— Tier-3, or Level 30. The League's response was extremely efficient. Although the receptionist who handled his verification stared at him like he was some sort of rare beast, she still respectfully handed over a green card—a high-level storage device for gold coins. Daniel took the green card and casually slipped it into his pocket. But as he did, his eyes caught another notice displayed prominently on a nearby plaque: [First Class Change Tournament: Level 60 – Reward: 10 million gold coins!] His eyes lit up like torches. Ten million!? Was this some kind of hint? That after completing his first class change, he should keep leveling nonstop? Level up, earn gold. Repeat. Endless opportunities. However, Daniel quickly regained his composure. Leveling was important, yes—but after class change, raw level wasn't everything. More critical factors came into play, like skill development, system synergy, and overall build structure. You couldn't just brute-force your way to power by stacking levels alone. — Meanwhile, in the League Manager's Office... Manager Harry was leisurely enjoying his afternoon coffee. To him, nothing compared to the pure joy of sipping a freshly brewed cup in a quiet moment. Just then, his desk console blinked. A notification popped up: "Leveling Tournament: Reward Claim Request Submitted." "Pffft!" Harry nearly sprayed the entire screen with hot coffee. What kind of joke was this!? The tournament had only started barely an hour ago. And someone was already applying to claim the prize!? Did those brainless front desk interns not think things through!? Even if this were the Prince of the Tin-Silver Kingdom, there was no way someone could hit Level 30 in one hour! Harry snorted, already picturing some con artist trying to scam the League. "Let's see who this fool is," he muttered, opening up the submitted application. But when his eyes landed on the name "Daniel," his expression froze. A name he hadn't heard in years. The one they called the Uncrowned Prince. Harry hadn't expected him to be the one pulling a stunt like this. Then again, calling Daniel a "prince" was merely symbolic at this point. He had no titles, no power, and no noble backing—just a name. Still... something about it didn't sit right. Frowning, Harry reviewed the attached documentation again. And then—he saw the certified tier rating. Tier-3. Verified. His jaw dropped. This can't be real. The Uncrowned Prince... had reached Tier-3... in just over an hour!? That defied every known logic in the adventuring world! Unless... Harry's thoughts drifted back to that night, years ago. The night of the Blood Moon. The memory still sent chills through his entire body. That cursed event... only a handful survived. And Daniel... was one of them. "Of course. I knew it," Harry muttered to himself. Anyone who could survive under the Blood Moon's shadow... was not an ordinary person. Grabbing his communication crystal, he barked into it, "Pix! Bring Prince Daniel to my office at once!" "No—scratch that. I'll go in person." — At the Royal Academy, near the entrance of the underground labyrinth... Mejir arrived, escorted by his father. Just as they were about to enter, they spotted Headmaster Owen rushing over in a flurry. "Headmaster Owen, it's been far too long!" Mejir's father greeted warmly. "You must have heard by now—my son Mejir has awakened an SS-rank talent!" "With a talent like his, surely he'll bring great honor to the Royal Academy, won't he?"
