Chapter 209: Chapter 209. A Raid on the Brothel On Monday night, it was a slow night for Windy Lotus. Only a few customers grazed the establishment. Most of the regular customers had had their fill of fun during the weekend. It was not until Wednesday before the customers returned to vent their stress after a few days of work. Windy Lotus was one of the establishments owned by the Street Aristocrats. The first floor disguised itself as a restaurant. As for the remaining four floors above, they served as brothels. Everyone in the neighborhood knew the real business inside this building, including the authorities. They turned a blind eye because of Street Aristocrats. Even the officials sometimes came to use the service. Two guards of the Intermediate Strength Stage were sitting beside the main entrance. One was yawning due to boredom. "I don’t understand why the boss doesn’t just close for Monday. No one comes anyway," the yawning guards said. "There are two perverts up there having fun," His friend countered. "Two. It’s not worth everyone’s time to keep this place running." His friend shrugged. "The boss wants to keep the image that we open twenty-four-seven. It is our reputation." "What reputation? We are thugs, for goodness’ sake. Maybe I just go up there and have some fun myself," the guard said as he stood up. "Are you tired of living? Do you know what the boss will do to you if he finds out?" "Relax. I’m just joking. I just want to go and relieve myself." When the sitting guard saw his friend attempting to walk into the building, he warned, "Go piss at the side restroom! The ones inside are for customers!" "What customers?" His friend protested. "It doesn’t matter! Rules are rules! Go to the side!" "What a stuck-up!" The standing guard grumbled as he conceded and walked to the side of the building. After a few minutes, the sitting guard called, "Hey! Are you done? Are you taking a piss or taking a dump?" When there was no response, the guard wondered if that asshole had ditched the job, leaving him to guard this place alone while he went to have fun. "Motherfucker... I swear I’m going to bash his head in if he–Ack...!" He couldn’t continue his speech because an arm had come from behind when he was looking at the side where his friend had gone. This arm choked him, preventing him from uttering a sound. Soon after, he felt weak and lost consciousness. He was released and positioned in his seat to make it seem like he was sleeping on the job. The one who knocked the guard out was someone in a complete black getup. A large red letter denoting a demon was written on the back of the suit. The suit covered the wearer’s entire body, but due to the tight suit, anyone could tell the wearer was a male with a fully muscled body. The suit had a hood that covered the head. As for the man’s face, it was covered by a demonic mask. Behind him were five others in similar costumes. The lead man looked back and told the others, "Five minutes." The six then charged into the building. "Hey! Who are you, people...?!" An elderly man and woman were chatting near the counter. They were startled by the sudden arrival of these strangers. Before they could shout, two of the strangers struck them. The elderly man and woman were both only at the Intermediate Mortal Stage. They were easily knocked out. One of the six stayed behind and started wrecking things while the other five rushed upstairs. The intruders did the same action on the remaining floors. They knocked out everyone they saw. One person then stayed behind on one floor and proceeded to demolish things. This went on until the last two intruders arrived on the highest floor. Eight thugs were there. They were all cultivators at the Beginning Strength Stage. They heard the commotion, but they remained up there because they needed to protect the manager inside the office on this top floor. The eight thugs stared at the two masked intruders coming up the stairs. One of the thugs started yelling, "You idiots! Do you know who this place belongs to? You two are dead! Do you hear me? You are dead!" The lead intruder with the muscled body waved his hands. The eight thugs felt a sharp prick in their legs. When they looked down, they didn’t see anything stabbing their legs. The lead intruder said to his partner, "You deal with them." He then charged to the door that led to the office. "Where do you think you are going!" One of the thugs shouted. He wanted to get into the intruder’s path but found his legs were numb. He couldn’t move them properly. While he was still bewildered by his situation, the second intruder arrived before him and gave him a hard punch. The punch dislocated his jaw. He slammed into the wall and had a hard time thinking about anything. The other thugs had a similar situation. They had a hard time moving their legs. They could only watch as the intruder kicked the office door and broke it. The manager had been waiting inside his office. He hid by the side of the door with his blade ready. His cultivation was at the Intermediate Strength Stage. He swung his blade the instant an intruder entered. The blade was aiming from the intruder’s blind spot. The manager was convinced that he had the jump on this assailant, but the man he was aiming at suddenly spun. His blade missed, and before he knew it, something hard smashed into his head from above and sent him slamming onto the floor. In his dizziness, he saw the demon mask come near his face. The demon said, "Hand over all the earnings from yesterday’s weekends, as well as all the Thousand Dream Powder you have not yet sold to your customers."
