Chapter 25: I've Decided — I'm Moving to Your World

After chatting for a while in the group, the topic of Aki Tomoya's accident faded away. The dead rest in peace. But then, Miori Shiba unexpectedly sent Takumi a message. Miori Shiba: [@Takumi, my parents have made their decision.] [We're going to immigrate to your world.] [When the time comes, please come over.] [We've already started preparing.] Her parents had made up their minds. They were going to immigrate to Takumi's world—and they would be bringing a selected group of people with them. Upon reading that, Takumi's eyes lit up. Takumi: [Great!] This was a good opportunity. He should prepare accordingly as well. Miori Shiba: [What about the cursed children—should I start gathering them for you?] She hadn't forgotten the reason Takumi came to their world in the first place. It was all for the sake of the cursed children. Takumi was planning to collect and take them all back with him. She could help gather the children ahead of time. Takumi: [That would be a big help. Please gather them for me.] [I'll come over and collect them when it's time.] [By the way, has your story arc started yet?] Only now did Takumi remember to ask. She even gained an incredibly powerful healing ability.] [You could say she was enhanced in every way.] At this point, Miori Shiba looked a bit awkward. Yes, she had brought Kisara Tendou into the operation. That woman agreed to follow her to another world. Miori even told her about the future of their world. She gave her the potion—Kisara's transformed body reverted to normal, and her physical capabilities improved drastically. The most frightening change, though, was her healing speed. She had essentially become a berserker. That superpower was possibly the most ideal one for Kisara. Even though their relationship was terrible, now that Kisara knew the world's tragic future, she believed what Miori told her. She decided to leave the world alongside Miori— but not before getting her revenge. She intended to kill her enemies before departing. Miori didn't stop her. Avenging one's parents wasn't something to be ignored. If anything, she would support her. As for Satomi Rentarou—neither of them had much to say. Once Miori told Kisara about what Rentarou would do in the future, Kisara gave up completely. She knew Rentarou well enough to believe he'd really do it. So, there wasn't much else to say. Leaving with Miori and going to another world sounded great. Once her revenge was complete, there would be no more attachments to this world. Takumi smiled as he read Miori's message. This was actually a good outcome. The story hadn't started, and none of the tragedies had happened yet. Miori had chosen to leave the world. She had likely begun liquidating her family's assets already. They were converting everything into valuables —and gathering the Initiators. With money, many things could be easily handled. By the time others caught on, it would be too late. Takumi: [Thanks again.] [Keep collecting the cursed children.] [I'll come pack things up soon.] [Contact me anytime if something comes up.] [I can teleport over whenever needed.] Takumi always had enough points to teleport. So if anything came up, he could arrive instantly. For now, Miori was still handling family affairs. Takumi would wait until she was done before making his move. Once everything was settled, he'd gather the children and leave that world. Surely there would be some conflicts—but nothing major. Who in that world could be a match for Takumi? Even if the whole world stood against him, they probably couldn't even scratch him. He was confident in this rescue mission. Reading Takumi's reply, Miori breathed a sigh of relief. Truth be told, their current mass asset liquidation made a lot of people suspicious. Her family was the world's largest arms dealer, but they looked like they were about to flee. People were bound to question it. Luckily, she and her father had planned everything in advance. The public statement from Shiba Heavy Industries was that there was internal conflict. Also, her father had supposedly had an incident, so she was taking over the company amid turmoil. Hence the need to liquidate some assets, and the excuse to search for Initiators— supposedly to gain their power and stabilize the company. All the necessary excuses were lined up. As a result, many outsiders were treating the situation like a spectacle. No one had realized Shiba Heavy Industries was genuinely preparing to flee. She and her father had worked out the plan in detail. Everything was progressing smoothly. They had even contacted a number of trustworthy and upright people, informing them of the opportunity. When they learned they could live in another world— one without Gastrea, peaceful and safe, free from conflict— and when Miori demonstrated superpowers, they were instantly onboard. She even promised they'd each receive a superpower awakening potion after immigrating. Everyone would benefit. With such incentives and safety, not a single one of the contacted people refused. Another world promised better prospects. Although they would be starting over, houses and protection would be provided. Compared to their current world— where one misstep could mean death— why would anyone choose to stay behind?
