Now back in the territory, they could finally enjoy some benefits. Many Beastmen, though they didn’t vocalize their feelings like O’Neill, had excited expressions that were all strikingly similar. Dean and Glen noticed the change in them and genuinely felt their happiness about returning to the territory. They could never imagine that a Beastman would consider human territory their home. Compared to them, the new Beastmen like Dean and Glen were becoming increasingly nervous, yet they quietly followed, their eyes constantly scanning their surroundings. As they continued on the road, they started to meet people. When they encountered human Professionals, they instinctively took up defensive positions. To their surprise, those Professionals neither drew weapons against them nor ran away at the sight of them. Instead, they warmly greeted them—or rather, they greeted the members of their own group. As they proceeded, more people joined, and without the need for further questioning, the earlier Professionals kindly answered queries and shared insights about Hope Village during the conversation. Zhou Bai and the others did not intervene or interject. They were well aware that the kind gestures from others, apart from themselves, would help the new group of Beastmen integrate into Hope Village and dissipate any unease they might have felt. This approach was indeed effective; the continuous friendly exchanges soon made Dean, Glen, and the other Beastmen forget their initial nervousness, as they focused entirely on what was being said about Hope Village. It wasn’t until they reached the gates of Hope Village. Seeing the gates, comparable to those of a small town, Dean and the new Beastmen felt a tangible sense of reality. They had arrived in Human Territory! From today forward, they would start a new life here! What would this new life hold in store for them?
