At the gala, I want to make our relationship public if you allow for that. I won’t force you, but if you desire it, I’ll stand beside you and declare it to everyone. If not, I’ll stay silent." He paused for a moment before adding, "We’re leaving for the capital tomorrow morning, so you’ll have more than a day to think it over." Amelie’s eyes widened. "You mean... you want to declare me as your mate?" she asked, arching a brow in disbelief. "Yes," he affirmed without hesitation. She bit her lip, considering his words. "I’ll think about it," she finally said. A part of her feared that accepting him would bring him trouble. Gabriel was a man of his word, he had stayed by her side, never asking for anything in return. He hadn’t take advantage of her, despite all the reasons he could have. "Good." His lips curled into a small, knowing smile. "Let’s go, then. It’s already late evening." Without another word, he reached for her hand as he led her forward. The onlooking employees cast curious glances their way, but Amelie barely noticed them.
