"Are you hurt?" The man tossed Ye Xuan away and then accurately found Ye Ningwan’s direction, asking softly. Ye Ningwan looked at him in surprise. She wondered, why did he come as well? "Are you injured?" When he saw no response, the man reached out to check her for injuries. Ye Ningwan snapped back to her senses, hastily evading and explaining: "No, I was just surprised you came?" "I happened to be discussing something next door, and heard the commotion over here." The man replied. Ye Ningwan thought to herself, what would a blind man come to see? "I heard your voice," the man added. Ye Ningwan pursed her lips, he recognized her voice. She didn’t expect he cared about her. "Lin Yuyang, aren’t you going to help me?" Ye Xuan shouted. Lin Yuyang was stunned to see Zhan Hanjue there! Hearing Ye Xuan’s cries, he realized what he was doing and ran over to help her up. Ye Xuan touched her forehead and found it bleeding. Instantly frightened, she cried loudly and demanded Lin Yuyang take her to the hospital. Lin Yuyang was already feeling guilty about secretly meeting someone else’s wife, especially as it was Zhan Hanjue, whom he secretly feared. Seizing the opportunity, he quickly helped Ye Xuan to leave, not daring to linger for even a moment. "Lin Yuyang, you haven’t given me the jade pendant," Ye Ningwan called out. But Lin Yuyang ran faster than a rabbit, applying oil to his feet and slipping away. Ye Ningwan thought to herself, since he had heard her voice, he probably had been next door all along, hearing her conversation with Lin Yuyang clearly. Following the principle of confessing for leniency and resisting for severity, she confessed honestly: "Yes, the main goal was to retrieve the jade pendant, and incidentally sow some discord so he and Ye Xuan would fall out. However, since they schemed against me before, I couldn’t just let them off easily." Before she came, she had someone inform Ye Xuan that Lin Yuyang had arranged to meet her here.
