Unable to hold back, he asked, “Qin Yue, what’s going on with you?” “It’s... it’s about the rash.” Qin Yue stammered before mustering the courage to continue, “You helped with the rash on my arm this afternoon, but... there’s another spot. I tried to ignore it, but I couldn’t sleep. It itches...” “Where is it?” Liu Hun asked, having a vague guess. In the pitch-black night, discussing such an embarrassing issue made the itch seem worse for Qin Yue, and the air was filled with a cloying scent. “It’s on the inside of my leg.” Qin Yue finally admitted, feeling her heart leap like a rabbit trapped in her chest as soon as she spoke. “Okay, lie on the bed. It’s easier that way. I’ll open the window a bit for some light.” Liu Hun suggested. Although he had seen Qin Yue completely earlier at the hot spring, the situation now was different, akin to the difference between a lavish banquet in a magazine and a simple meal in front of him. “Okay!” Qin Yue nodded and lay on the bed. After Liu Hun opened the window and turned back, he was surprised to find that Qin Yue had already removed her pants, lying there like meat on a chopping board. “Qin Yue, why did you take off your pants?” Liu Hun asked, heart racing at the sight of her pale legs in the moonlight. “You’ve got to see where it is, or how can it be treated?” Qin Yue replied, her fiery honesty evident. Once past the initial embarrassment, she was totally open about it. Liu Hun was momentarily choked by her words, unable to explain his Superpower to her. So, he nodded, groping his way to the edge of the bed. “Go on then! What are you waiting for? It’s itchy!” Qin Yue urged him, giving her inner thigh a scratch as she spoke. Liu Hun gulped hard and placed his hand on Qin Yue’s smooth leg. Just as he was about to use his Qi to enter her body, Qin Yue said, “Not there, a little higher!” His hand moved up, careful like someone climbing Dabie Mountain, over Qin Yue’s knee. Yet still, she said, “Higher!” He moved higher, almost touching the edge of her underwear when Qin Yue finally said, “There, that’s about right.” Looking at the firm mound, Liu Hun remembered what he saw at the hot spring pool. He took a deep breath, focused for a moment, and then pressed a finger into the inner thigh allowing the Qi to penetrate. “Ohh... that feels good! Go a little higher, there are more rashes up there that are still itchy.” Qin Yue said, her eyes closed and expectations mixed with apprehension, much like sucking a sweet medicine pill, knowing the bitterness would follow, yet unable to resist the sweetness. Liu Hun felt a hot rush in his heart, aware of Qin Yue’s fiery temper and intense passions, much like a bowl of mutton soup steaming in the coldest winter. Anyone would want a taste, but those who dared would likely burn their tongue. So, he wanted to retract his Qi quickly and be done with it. With this in mind, he didn’t consider how much further the Qi would go, letting it climb higher as Qin Yue requested. “Ah!” Qin Yue suddenly bolted upright like lifting a coffin lid, her eyes glaring at Liu Hun as if trying to drench him in water. The trembling voice escaping her throat made Liu Hun’s bones lighten by two ounces. “Qin Yue, are you okay?” Liu Hun asked immediately, retracting the Qi, genuinely startled by her reaction. “Phew... Phew...” Qin Yue panted, eyes fixed on Liu Hun like she might devour him, taking some time to recover from her heated breaths. “I’m fine now. Thank you, Hun Zi. I’ll head back.” Qin Yue spoke, hurriedly pulling on her pants and leaving Liu Hun’s room in a rush. In the pitch-black night, Liu Hun couldn’t make out Qin Yue’s expression and remained unsure of her condition. As soon as he lay back on the bed, he felt a coolness on his palm and quickly turned on the light. Where Qin Yue had sat was now a damp patch. The next morning, Liu Hun went to the hot spring pool and stayed until noon without finding any clues, except that the fish in the pool appeared to be getting redder. Beyond that, there was nothing noticeable. Back in his house, Liu Hun suddenly recalled that Cai Yan mentioned she studied something in biology. He then thought of asking her, hoping it might reveal some clues. Yet after searching all around his house, he didn’t see Cai Yan anywhere. He had just returned from the hot spring, so she definitely wouldn’t be there. Where could she have gone? Liu Hun wondered as Bai Lian returned from town with Mao’er, specifically coming to see him. “Bai Lian, what’s up?” Liu Hun asked as Bai Lian approached. Bai Lian looked at Liu Hun with a peculiar expression, saying, “Just now when Mao’er and I came back, we saw Cai Yan heading toward the Front Village. She seemed to be in a hurry, not sure why. So I thought I’d come and mention it.” “What’s she doing at the Front Village?” Liu Hun mumbled with a frown. If Wanbao Village used to be so poor it only had underpants left, then the Front Village was running around naked without a thing to its name. “I’d better go take a look. If anything happens in the village, have Qin Yue help out. I’ll be back soon.” Liu Hun instructed Bai Lian before hastily heading to the Front Village, feeling something peculiar about the situation. The Front Village was separated from Wanbao Village by a mountain; Clear Water Bay separated it with a river. Though considered neighboring, the villages were still a distance apart.
