The sage continued to stare at Lian with the same euphoric smile as he spoke of a battle, his voice carrying a weight that made the air feel heavier. "Eh? Who am I supposed to fight?" Lian stood up, slightly dazed. His recent improvement had made him confident in his strength, but a slight fear was still etched in his psyche at the memory of the gargoyles, their stone wings haunting his thoughts. The sage did not respond. He merely looked at Lian while circling him at a slow pace his steps deliberate, like a predator sizing up its prey.
