Chapter 2- Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact

Kailen stood on a large grassy plain in plain daylight. The warm breeze of the morning swept past his body, causing him to sigh in amazement... "So this is real...and I can sense worldy natural energy... Just how is this possible?" [Due to fusion with the time dilation artifact,you have become an awakened....This is why you can sense the worldy natural energy in the pocket world of the time dilation artifact...] A holographic screen popped up before Kailen, answering his question. However more questions popped up in his head, he was wondering what this heaven defying artifact was that could influence him from dying, and also communicate with his thoughts, transfer him to another world or something was... However the voice in his head did not respond to his question this time, neither did any holographic screen pop up before him.. However ,instructions regarding his scope of training this time in the time dilation artifact popped up before him [Your current awakened rank is too weak. As someone who posseses the time dilation artifact, it is a disgrace to be an F ranked awakened now that you have awakened , and also to have an E grade talent... Quest- Become an E grade awakened in the next 3 days. Reward- S grade talent and shadow affinity] " Seriously, is this for real" In this world , Awakened ranks were divided from the lowest to the highest F,E,D,C,B,A and S rank. Afinnities simply had to do with the various supernatural abilities awakened obtained after becoming an awakened... ...In this world, anyone who could awaken ,not only awakened affinities, they also awakened talents... Talents were a measure of one's innate ability to reach a certain awakened rank . It simply meant the potential one had as an awakened to reach a certain rank. Talent ranks were also divided from the lowest to the highest F,E,D,C,B,A and S rank... This meant that once one reached that rank, their potential would be exhausted... So if an individual had an A rank talent, it meant that he had the potential to become and A ranked awakened...After he became an A ranked awakened, that potential would have been used up, and no matter how he tries, he can't increase his rank anymore... The same applies of all talent ranks... Levels of talents level were F rank, E rank, D Rank, C rank , B rank, A rank and S rank. It was therefore safe to say that if an individual awakened a superb affinity with a trashy talent, he was bound to be trash.... This was because an individual's talent was fixed. No one could change it, there were no elixirs to increase one's talent or heavenly defying treasures that could do that.. This was why Kailen was shocked when the voice of the time dilation artifact metioned he would be granted an S grade talent, when even after he awakened with the time dilation artifact's help, he had become an F ranked awakened ,with an E rank trash talent.. Kailen quickly swept all these thoughts to the back of his mind ,since he knew that the voice of the time dilation artifact would not reply him.. " Let's not waste time ..This is an opportunity to become stronger, so I should stop asking baseless questions ... System ,How do I become an E ranked awakened " [ Oh, so that's what you've decided to call me..interesting... Well, to become an E ranked awakened ,simply sit down and absorb the worldy natural energy of the time dilation artifact...] "That makes sense... He simply willed the worldy natural energy to enter the cells of his body, and quickly, the worldy natural energy begun to enter his cells at an astonishing rate.... **** 3 days later, a young man with dark hair and and dark eyes remained seated in the same position ... [ You have completed the quest... You have become an E rank awakened... You have obtained an S rank talent... You have obtained the shadow affinity] Kailen opened his eyes to the notification before him... He heaved a sigh of relief with a happy expressions on his face.... However before he had the chance to respond to the time dilation artifact...Another notification popped up before him... [Your 3 days period is up...You will be taken out of the pocket world.. You have a one month cool down before you can visit the pocket world of the time dilation artifact again] With that, Kailen dissapeared from the pocket world , and returned to the alleyway... Kailen realized his whole body was flowing with strength .... He no longer felt weak and sickly .. He felt extremely strong .... The worldy natural energy around him was strongly felt by him... [As an awakened ,you are meant to feel this way... However be reminded that the worldy natural energy of the pocket world of the time dilation artifact is extremely rich and denser compared to your world ... By absorbing the worldy natural energy of the pocket world for your breakthough,you are not a regular E ranked awakened,you are more stronger compared to others in the same rank as you... I believe you can defeat some D ranked awakened with your current strength. Also,note that a day spent in the time dilation artifact is equivalent to one hour in the real world ] "How is this...never mind .. this time dilation artifact is a monstrously cheat item..Also in the real world, I've only been in the time dilation artifact for what... 3 hours?... It's makes sense though...no wonder it's called a time dilation artifact .. This artifact is really monstrous....No one must find out about this artifact at any cost.. Information concerning the shadow affinity and how to use it entered his mind... Kailen felt like he had used the skills of the affinity for a thousand years... According to the information he had just absorbed, the shadow affinity was an affinity that was related to control over shadows... He had obtained 2 skills The first one was Shadow manipulation-This skill allowed him to sense and control shadows in a range of his environment, and shape them into different shapes and sizes for attacking his enemies and for various functions he deemed.. The skill would become more powerful, and the range of control over shadows would increase as his rank increases . The second one was Shadow Necromancy -This skill was completely broken, it allowed him to create shadow creatures that would always be a rank above his own from the bodies of dead creatures, as long as he is the one that killed them... Also, these creatures would be completely loyal to him... Not only that, since they would be his creatures, as he grew in strength, they would somehow also become stronger. Also, at the moment he could only create 5 shadow creatures... However as his rank increases, the number of shadow creatures he could create would experience an increase... Kailen was ecstatic This was simply, too broken.
