Chapter 23 - 8: Remember to Use the Front Door_3

Zhou Qingfeng was at a loss for words, feeling a burst of annoyance in his heart. No matter how carefully he planned, he never expected this girl to sneak into his room in the middle of the night. He lay helplessly on the bed, feeling like he had no privacy at all in this house. "Not only do I know you went out, but Mom knows too." Selena propped her hands on Zhou Qingfeng's chest, looking down at him. "What... How does Julia know I went out too?" Zhou Qingfeng was completely bewildered. What secrets did he have left? But Selena wasn't about to let her boyfriend off that easily. Straddling Zhou Qingfeng, she grabbed his shoulders and shook him vigorously. "I wanted to reward you last night, but you weren't in bed! I wanted to go out and find you, but Mom stopped me!" She hummed angrily, frustrated, "Tell me, were you out on a date with someone? We've only been together a few days and you're already sneaking out?" Selena's tone grew more and more agitated, eventually grabbing a large pillow next to her and fiercely throwing it at him. The pillow landed on Zhou Qingfeng repeatedly. Although it didn't hurt, it made him feel incredibly guilty—this was a tough question to answer. "I didn't! Stop guessing wildly!" Zhou Qingfeng dodged while trying to explain. But obviously, Selena had no intention of listening to any explanations. Her movements grew faster, the pillow drawing arcs in the air, accompanied by her dissatisfied murmurs, as she vented out all her grievances and anger. Zhou Qingfeng could only helplessly use his arms to shield his face, inwardly lamenting. Coming up with a smooth lie in this situation was much harder than going out to win a lottery ticket. The bedroom door was lightly pushed open, and Julia, wearing a lightweight house tank top, lazily leaned against the doorframe, "Kid, you actually came back before dawn?" Selena was stunned, clearly not expecting her mother to say such things. She turned back to Zhou Qingfeng with suspicion, "Did you go to watch a soccer game?" Zhou Qingfeng hadn't even had a chance to answer when Julia continued, "If a man insists on lying, you won't get the truth no matter how much you ask. But there's a way to verify." She beckoned lightly, calling Selena to her side and whispered a few words in her ear. Zhou Qingfeng felt a chill down his spine, a vague sense of foreboding. Indeed, as soon as Selena received her mother's "guidance", she immediately sprang back, gave her boyfriend a sly grin, and reached out to grab him.
