But, she had only taken three steps before she felt a blade-like cold wind slicing past her back. A sudden cold sweat broke out on Qiao Xiaren’s back. Moments ago, the man had his back to her without even turning his head. But now, he was right behind her. The cool mountain breeze whistled through the rustling tree leaves. Qiao Xiaren put her head down and ran like the wind without daring to look back. Not understanding what she was running from, she could only feel an extreme sense of danger from the man behind her. “Xiaotian, Xiaotian…” Qiao Xiaren tried to communicate with the system, but strangely, the usually responsive System Lord was silent.
