Chapter 290 Definitive Evidence
Mr. Chai, holding those photographs, had hands that trembled slightly. For in the photos was Wu Jiangsheng passing the test paper to him, and the scene where he took the test paper was captured.
The test paper was filled out thoroughly. The words "Math Test" were clearly captured.
Shen Qi, seeming worried that everyone wouldn’t be able to see clearly, also took out several other photos with the same background for everyone to pass around and look at.
Upon seeing the photo that proved Wu Jiangsheng had submitted his math test paper, the students instantly began to discuss:
"So it turns out Wu Jiangsheng really did hand in the math test paper."
"I knew it! Wu Jiangsheng did pretty well on this exam; how could he not have completed the math test?"
"Right, I remember bumping into his hand when he was handing in his test paper."
"Yeah, I saw him submit it too."
"I saw it as well."
"Why didn’t you say something earlier? Bringing it up now is all hindsight."
"..."
Listening to the students’ discussions, Mr. Chai’s face flushed a deep red in an instant.
He had just been adamantly insisting that he had never collected Wu Jiangsheng’s math test paper, but this photo was like a slap to the face—a loud, resounding one at that.
"You— which class are you from? Why did you come to take photos? What is the purpose of you taking these photos?" Mr. Chai, his face flushed with anger, glared fiercely at Shen Qi.
He regretted it. He should have taken the easy way out when Principal Nian suggested going to the office for a talk. Then, he wouldn’t have to lose face in front of the entire class.
But now, being shamed in front of his students, how was he supposed to continue teaching?
He was furious at the student who took these photos.
"I am Shen Qi from class 39. I was bored after finishing the test, so I thought about going out and taking some photos for fun. I snuck to the window and started taking pictures of everyone during the exam. Just so happens, I caught the scene of Wu Jiangsheng submitting his math test paper.
As for your question about my purpose—" Shen Qi glanced at Mr. Chai, "You can see my purpose now, can’t you?"
He didn’t even try to hide his intention!
Principal Nian looked at Mr. Chai, "Mr. Chai, do you have anything else to say?"
His eyes gleamed coldly: This Mr. Chai had let him down profoundly.
Mr. Chai was very embarrassed, "This, this... Somehow Wu Jiangsheng did submit his math test paper, but I truly do not have his paper. Perhaps it was for some other reason that his paper was lost?"
Shen Qi did not leave Mr. Chai any dignity, "The test papers were collected together. Wu Jiangsheng was neither the first nor the last to submit; how could it be possible that only his paper, which was in the middle, got lost?"
"How would I know? Anyway, his test paper is gone."
Mr. Chai tried to evade but Shen Qi dropped a bombshell, "Wu Jiangsheng’s test paper was not lost but you gave it to Jiang Huaiyu!"
"You’re talking nonsense!"
"You’re talking nonsense!"
Mr. Chai and Jiang Huaiyu both exclaimed in unison.
Shen Qi’s mouth twisted slightly, "Whether it’s nonsense or not, what you say doesn’t count, nor does what I say. Let the facts speak for themselves."
As he spoke, he lifted the pack of "cigarettes" he had been holding in his hand all along.
Mr. Chai thought to himself that this couldn’t be good. What Shen Qi had was not a pack of cigarettes at all—it was clearly a mini-recorder!
He tried to snatch the recorder, but Shen Qi nimbly dodged aside, still holding the recorder up high and casually pressed the playback button. All at once, the voices of a man and a woman resounded throughout the classroom.
