Though I wasn't sure of the day, I could vividly remember Martha's ugly drama with the landlord had taken place on a day when almost all the tenants were home. I had pegged that day to be a weekend, Sunday in particular but with the events of the previous nights and my lingering doubts of which weekend, I had forgotten all about the soon to happen event, only just remembering now.
