The hurricane instantly transformed into a pillar of bluish-green fire! "Damn it! What is this thing!?" Luffy was instantly alarmed, leaping with all his might to avoid the impact. Wiper kept the trigger held down, the Burn Bazooka continuously shifting direction in pursuit, while Luffy leaped agilely, weaving through the dense forest. Boom! Boom! Boom! Wherever the bluish-green pillar of fire passed, all tree trunks were burned through and collapsed with a crash. Wiper’s bazooka used a Wind Dial to store natural gas; the terrifying high temperatures it unleashed could destroy any target. "Damn it! How is he so agile!? Just like a monkey!" Gritting his teeth, Wiper watched Luffy rapidly weave through the trees. Knowing the Burn Bazooka would have difficulty hitting him, he released the trigger. "And those stretching hands... is he a Devil Fruit user?" "Woo~~ That thing’s dangerous!" Luffy looked down with lingering fear; in the blink of an eye, several surrounding trees had fallen. He made no attempt to hide his nature from Wiper’s question. "That’s right! I’m a Rubber Man who ate the Rubber-Rubber Fruit!" Bang! Bang! Bang! Wiper frowned, raised his bazooka, and fired several jet-black cannonballs towards the trees, simultaneously jetting off on his Waver skates. "Gum-Gum Balloon!" Luffy sucked in a huge breath, his body inflating like a balloon – his most common technique for dealing with cannonballs. Boom! Boom! The black cannonballs sank into his inflated body then rapidly bounced off, exploding upon impact with the trees and ground. "Phew~~" Exhaling a long breath, Luffy’s body had just returned to normal when Wiper leaped before him. "Gum-Gum Pistol!" Luffy struck first, his fist shooting towards Wiper’s face. Wiper lightly twisted his head to dodge, then swung his bazooka out in a rotating strike. Luffy directly raised an arm to block; blunt attacks had no effect on him. Simultaneously, he shot out a fierce kick, his large sandal imprinting directly on Wiper’s chest. "Gum-Gum Stamp!" Wiper gritted his teeth, enduring the pain. He quickly retracted his legs, crossing them to clamp Luffy’s foot, then pulled forcefully while simultaneously firing a cannonball from the bazooka point-blank at the staggering Luffy’s face! BOOM!! An intense sound accompanied by black smoke; the shockwave blasted both of them apart. Wiper landed on the ground clutching his chest, gritting his teeth as he wiped a trace of blood from the corner of his mouth. On the other side... "You bastard... you really are strong." Luffy climbed up from the ground, looking grim and battered. The point-blank cannonball hadn’t seriously injured him, but his clothes were in tatters. What Luffy didn’t know was that Wiper was capable of even making Enel suffer greatly; a single Reject Dial blast had once stopped Enel’s heart, nearly killing him. However, just as he landed, Wiper’s figure instantly burst out from the smoke. Reaching Luffy, he brought a leg down in a fierce chop. After Luffy sidestepped, the kick smashed into the tree root, cracks beginning to spread. Luffy whipped his leg out like a lash. Wiper dodged by bending backward, simultaneously flicking his foot upwards in a counter-kick. The shoe equipped with Seastone struck Luffy’s leg. A wave of weakness instantly washed over Luffy. Before his panicked eyes, Wiper grabbed his outstretched leg and pulled hard. He stumbled forward, then was slammed in the chest by the scythe-like skate on Wiper’s other foot and brutally pinned to the ground. "Damn it! What is this stuff!?" Luffy lay on the ground, gritting his teeth, hands tightly gripping Wiper’s leg but unable to exert any strength. Something suddenly clicked in his mind, and he gasped in alarm. "Seastone!" "That’s right! I prepared this for my fight with Enel." Wiper spoke, taking out an Impact Dial and pressing it into his hand. "Since blunt attacks are useless... let’s try this." The cost of using the Reject Dial was too great; Wiper was saving it for Enel, his true final target. Bang! Without any hesitation, Wiper aimed directly at Luffy’s head and pressed the Impact Dial. The powerful shockwave, penetrating skin and bone deep into his marrow, made Luffy experience an unprecedented level of pain. "Puwah!" Luffy couldn’t help but spray out a mouthful of blood. His pupils instantly contracted, and his head slammed hard into the ground. "Foolish Blue Sea person. Pay the price for your greed," Wiper stood up. Looking at the motionless Luffy on the ground, he turned to retrieve his bazooka, preparing to leave. "Is it over already?" Wiper glanced up at the sky; there were no red flames, no blue lightning. The fierce battle from earlier showed no traces now. He couldn’t help but murmur puzzledly, "Who won? Who was Enel fighting?" "He was fighting me." "Who’s there!?" The sudden voice startled War Demon Wiper. He whipped his head around towards where the voice originated! A blond man in a blue shirt stood on a tree branch. His figure looked somewhat battered, as if he had been struck by lightning. A giant hawk stood beside him. "Get up, Luffy. Things are a bit troublesome now," Reiner glanced at the figure on the ground. Luffy was probably dazed from being hit by an Impact Dial for the first time. An attack of that level wasn’t much to him; in the original story, he took a dozen Impact Dial hits from that fat Priest Ohm and was perfectly fine afterward. Luffy pushed himself up, holding his head, shaking it slightly, clearly still a bit dazed. "What was that technique? That really hurt." "An Impact Dial. Didn’t Gan Fall tell you about them yesterday?" Reiner said helplessly. "Serves you right for not listening properly." "Heeheehee," Luffy grinned unconcernedly, then asked, "Right, why are you here?
