Strangely, they didn’t fall, suspended as if held by some invisible force—they’re made purely out of his Qi, after all. "For starters, let me go say hi!" Jehanne spat, leaping into action. In a blur, she jumped up, using the icy blocks as stepping stones to ascend into the sky. With her speed, within moments, she reached the incoming swarm! SHAAAA! The flying bug monsters—Dimensional Anomalies—emitted a high-pitched screech the moment they spotted her. Some even moved to intercept her immediately. "Not so fast." But a figure suddenly appeared beside them, fan in hand, walking through the sky casually. "Don’t look away—I’m your opponent!" He waved his fan, scattering sparkling ice dust. Then, in one motion, he launched a palm strike at the chest of the nearest monster— BAM! —triggering an icy explosion in a wide cone, blasting out from the monster’s back. Every monster caught in the blast zone froze solid before gradually shattering into particles—just like the icy dust he’d scattered. "That’s a hundred, for now," he whispered, shifting his stance. "Thanks for the path!" Jehanne laughed, passing within an inch of him, using the frozen remains as stepping stones to continue upward toward the boss. "No worries. Here’s some more!" Xu Tao didn’t delay, summoning more icy blocks mid-air. Unlike him, who had Cloud Steps to stay aloft, Jehanne had none. She relied entirely on his platforms to remain airborne. Each one shattered after she stepped on it, but that was enough. By the time she reached the center of the swarm, she barely needed the platforms at all—using the monsters themselves as springboards. With more footing options, she moved even faster, zipping toward her target in the blink of an eye. "Alright, big guy! Let’s see if you can handle this...!" Landing on the boss monster’s back, she opened with a powerful spear slap. But it barely tickled the leviathan, let alone damaged it. "Tsk! As expected, I lack strength...!" she grumbled as she ran across its body. She didn’t miss the Evil Spirit—the Dual-Soul Wraith—standing near the monster’s forehead with the sunset right behind, casting eerie shadows. A woman with sickly-pale white skin, golden eyes with black sclera, and silver-white hair whipping in the wind. Her lips curled in a thick, unbothered smile. The air around her reeked of death, making Jehanne instinctively want to avoid her. "...!" But in a flash, she realized that taking her—seemingly a commander of some sort—down would be a huge blow to the enemy. Jehanne poured more strength into her legs, bounding toward the Wraith’s position. Sensing her intent, the leviathan writhed violently. It twisted its massive body, trying to shake off the ant on its back. The motion made the Wraith turn and glare at Jehanne with murderous eyes. "Don’t disturb me... You wench." The woman said in a low, threatening, growling voice. "Stay put, and I’ll kill you painlessly after I deal with that man." "...Wench?" Jehanne’s brow twitched. Even with the roaring winds, she heard that insult loud and clear. "I am the Saint—Jehanne d’Arc! Calling me a wench will be the last mistake you ever make!"
