Lu Luo actually didn’t care much about the monthly exam because he had Observer, which gave him a nearly overwhelming advantage in his studies.
He was just about to head to the library, where he could look up information and, incidentally, brush up on his academic knowledge.
The exam was a written one. As long as he had enough knowledge stored, Lu Luo could get almost all the answers from Observer; he would just have to copy them down at the time.
After paying 10 dollars for a monthly pass, Lu Luo finally made it to East Ring University’s library, just as he had hoped.
The school’s library was very large, at least much larger than any university library Lu Luo had seen in his previous life.
There were many people here; despite the ten-dollar entry fee each month, the place was still very crowded.
The reason was simple. This was one of the few places in the Fourth Ring where people could access higher knowledge.
According to the Wasteland’s strict identity plaque regulations, ordinary people could never enter the university library; it was an important channel for knowledge.
People who took the scholarly path had to read a vast amount of knowledge from the library and would inevitably linger there.
Those who took the Transcendent path, apart from their daily training, also needed to look up information about Exotic Species, Transcendent cognition, and world geography in the library.
[A library map has been collected. Common study knowledge is in Zone 1, but it’s too crowded at this hour, so going there is not recommended.
History, geography, and biological environment are in Zones 2-3, where there are more people.
Introductions to Transcendents and Exotic Species are on shelves 1-4 in Zone 4, while Church and Holy Light knowledge is on shelves 8-9 in Zone 4.]
Lu Luo walked briskly through the library’s intersecting paths and quickly arrived at Zone 4.
Compared to other things, what Lu Luo wanted to know most right now was everything about the Church.
There were quite a few books about the Church and the Holy Light, but a significant portion of them were historical records and hero biographies.
He had Observer to help record information, so there was no need for him to scrutinize most of the common information himself.
He began to rapidly flip through the records about the Dawn Church and the Walkers of Light, expanding his knowledge about the Dawn Church as much as possible.
Having scanned all the information about the Church and the Holy Light, Lu Luo had already spent close to four hours.
It had to be said that just flipping through books was pretty tiring, and he constantly had to endure disdainful glances from passersby. Why is he reading so fast—what’s he putting on airs for?
"Is there any information on the symbol of a bouquet?"
[Having searched through all the information just obtained, no symbol of a bouquet was found. However, Observer suggests Host carefully read the following two books, as they contain many interesting things: *Dawn Church* and *Four Knights of Light*.]
Lu Luo picked up *Dawn Church* and *Four Knights of Light* and went to a seat in the center of the library.
*Dawn Church* was basically an introduction to the Dawn Church, which could give Lu Luo an accurate understanding of it.
While Observer could process information, unless it was in overclock mode, its prompts were still a bit slow compared to his own reactions.
Lu Luo browsed through the Church information. When he came to the section on Believers of Light, he stopped because he remembered Han Shiyu was a Believer of Light.
Even though Observer also had some information on Believers of Light, he still wanted to look at it carefully for himself.
[Believer of Light: The Church’s firmest bastion, inherently strong fighters and Healers.
The power of the Holy Light is formidable, and its healing effects are astounding; they are one of the most perfect types of Transcendents.
They serve Li Ming forever, devoted to the Holy Light. To seek the Holy Light and Li Ming, they would sacrifice their very all.
Though the Church does not forbid Believers of Light from marrying, most of them do not bond with others in their lifetime.
They have given everything to Li Ming and the Holy Light, the purest people in this world, and also the loneliest.]
Was this introduction to Believers of Light written by one of them? It sounds so melancholic. Han Shiyu, such a beautiful woman... is she really not going to get married? What a waste of such a good figure. Tsk!
Lu Luo closed *Dawn Church* and opened the second book, *Four Knights of Light*.
As soon as he opened it, Lu Luo felt something was off, because on its very first page, a single line was clearly written:
*Where there is light, there must be shadow.*
Lu Luo continued to flip through the book. He noticed that apart from describing the four great knights—Life, Harvest, Courage, and Justice—he couldn’t understand anything else. It was all strange symbols and disjointed descriptions that hardly formed coherent sentences. With this kind of description, how could he make heads or tails of it!
"Can you analyze this? I’m... having a hard time understanding."
[Currently unable to analyze. The character sequence is completely random. This likely involves Church secrets and won’t be easy to crack.]
Lu Luo, holding the book and looking at the text that resembled garbled code, was a bit troubled.
Just at that moment, a crisp voice sounded behind him.
"Are you interested in the Church’s Four Knights of Light?"
Lu Luo turned his head and saw a woman in a tight black outfit standing behind him.
At first glance, even Lu Luo—a seasoned old pervert who had been through countless battles, survived an "FBI bombing," and been baptized by internet porn—was stunned by her beauty.
This was a woman of indescribable grace, refined and ethereal, exuding a gentle, airy presence. Her skin was snow-white, her expressive eyes seemed to dance, and her peach-like cheeks held a charming smile. Without even speaking, she was unspeakably tender and lovely. Her jet-black hair was the epitome of "long and straight," making her seem like a character straight out of a perfect anime.
However, even though the woman seemed ethereal, it didn’t change Lu Luo’s nature as an old pervert. As he looked, his gaze eventually lingered on her chest.
[This woman also possesses surging Holy Light power within her, though her aura is much weaker than Han Shiyu’s.]
[Friendly reminder: Your gaze has been wandering over her face, chest, and thighs for over 10 seconds.]
Lu Luo’s old habits flared up, but the woman was patient, merely tilting her head and standing there quietly, allowing him to look.
However, while she could maintain her composure, a nearby self-proclaimed "guardian of justice" couldn’t stand it anymore.
SLAM!
The person slammed a book down, startling Lu Luo. He looked at Lu Luo with an indignant expression.
"The library is a temple of knowledge! People come here to study, not to canoodle and make eyes at each other! If I have to endure PDA every time I come to the library, then I’d rather not read at all!"
[Sequence reaction detected. Preliminary identification: Sequence D-143 - To Depart with a Flick of Sleeves.
Effect of To Depart with a Flick of Sleeves: Upon departing in such a manner, all attributes decrease by 10%, focus increases by 20%. Duration: 4 hours.]
After saying this, the person truly did depart with a flick of his sleeves. So, such magical Sequences really exist?
Feeling a bit awkward, Lu Luo regained his composure. He looked at the woman before him, so beautiful he couldn’t find words to describe her, and asked cautiously, "Um, how should I address you?"
"My name is Qi Xinzhu, a follower of the Dawn Church, and also a... Believer of Light."
