A moment later, the two returned to the living room. "Hanekawa," Shinku began directly, "how is your chakra refinement coming along?" Hanekawa stood up and demonstrated. "Impressive," Shinku said with a pleased smile. "Your proficiency is almost on par with Kurenai's." Hanekawa had only been practicing for a week, while Kurenai had been at it for nearly six months. His progress was astonishing. Kurenai let out a small huff, visibly annoyed but unable to refute the statement. Shinku found his daughter's reaction adorable. He reached out to pat her head, but she jumped back, dodging perfectly. "Well, your chakra control is now decent enough. You can start learning genjutsu," Shinku said, clearing his throat to mask his slight embarrassment. Genjutsu training, huh? Perfect timing. Hanekawa's eyes lit up.
