As Tianlin neared the gate, a black-armored knight blocked his way, voice low: "You haven't drunk a Bloody Mary or received approval from the outside. You've broken the entry rules." "So what? Will you stop me?" Tianlin replied coolly. "Not stop—kill. Or, you can defeat me to enter," the knight said, spear in hand, exuding intense killing intent. He truly was a Slaughter City guardian. In the outside world, even many Soul Sages or Douluos with countless kills wouldn't match this killing aura. Tianlin summoned his Demon Sword, but couldn't call out his soul rings—just as expected, soul skills were unusable here. "Xiao Tian, the whole city seems to be covered by a very special domain. Take your number before entering; someone inside will guide you." The knight handed over a black plaque marked with a skull and the number 9527. Tianlin's mouth twitched. He wanted to ask for a different number. For some reason, this number felt out of place in such a grim place. In the original story, Tang San was 9528. Tianlin had arrived much earlier, yet his number was only one lower. The knight was already riding away—clearly off to heal. "Fine, let's say it's a blessing from Stephen Chow," Tianlin sighed, pocketed the plaque, and walked to the gate. On the black city gate, large characters—"Slaughter City"—hung high. Two rows of armored knights stood in silence. As soon as Tianlin showed his plaque, the gates opened. A woman in a black veil, with a graceful figure, stepped out and greeted him in a pleasant voice: "Welcome to Slaughter City." "You must be the guide the knight mentioned. Lead the way," Tianlin said calmly, following her in. It was a dark world. Lanterns hung on either side of the street. There were many houses and people; aside from the gloom, it didn't seem too different from the outside world.
