But whatever the reason, it was convenient for her. The faint hesitation she’d felt—the lingering gratitude toward the creature that once took her in and fed her when she was an orphan—had vanished entirely upon seeing its current form. “From this moment on, you are no longer human.” With that declaration, without the slightest hesitation or mercy, she resolved to crush that revolting lump of flesh with all her might. Determined, Eun-Ha clenched her right fist tightly, her crimson eyes blazing with intensity. Rumble- Energy coursed through her veins, generated from her Soul Furnace. The blazing energy surged through her body, letting off a heat that incinerated the miasma, toxins, and blood surrounding her. As she pushed her power to its peak, Eun-Ha recalled the conversation she had with Se-Hoon a few days prior. “If I summon you later on, it means you can go all out. So don’t hold back—avenge yourself however you see fit.” The area they were in was desolate; nothing they did would harm innocent civilians. Here, on the stage that Se-Hoon had prepared for her, Eun-Ha abandoned her final worries and focused all her power into her right fist. Woong! The energy raging within her concentrated into her right fist, giving off a heat so intense that the sleeve of her shirt melted away. Sensing the overwhelming power being gathered in her right fist, Caspar, writhing in pain, hastily responded. Bubble, bubble- The masses of flesh blanketing the town coalesced, forming a massive cocoon, which countless demons then emerged from. It was the researchers who had been absorbed by Caspar in the laboratory—they had now been split from him, stepping into the world once again. “Get her!” “Kill her!” The demons swiftly crossed the town, rushing Eun-Ha. Having studied her for so long, Casper and his researchers understood better than anyone the devastation she could unleash if they let her swing that fist. “You guys are focusing too much on her.” Lee Se-Hoon wasn’t one to sit idly by. Thud, thud, thud! Dozens of black spears suddenly rained down from the sky, piercing through more than half of the charging demons. Then, the second assault erupted from within their bodies. Splurt! Spikes burst out from the demons’ bodies, killing them instantly. The sight left Casper stunned as he turned his focus skyward. Woong- Looming above them, a massive rift resembling a giant eye held an abyss of endless darkness. And below that rift, Se-Hoon stood there, using the power of Boundaries to draw the darkness within outward. Drip- The seemingly infinite darkness of the Netherworld flowed out like tears, reshaping itself into dozens of black spears at Se-Hoon’s command. Realizing the previous bombardment was about to be repeated, Casper frantically moved his body. “Try not to forget about me next time.” The black spears rained down once more with a casual wave of Se-Hoon’s hand. Boom! The demons who survived the initial assault were wiped out, and even the newly formed cocoon was destroyed. It was as if dozens of heroes were simultaneously attacking. And that meant conventional means were useless, so Casper redirected his energy. Rumble! Dozens of fleshy masses surged upward. Seeing them, Se-Hoon thought they were targeting him, but he soon found out their true purpose. Aaaaah- The surfaces of the rising flesh cracked, and an eerie voice reverberated from them like an echo. However, at that moment, Eun-Ha, her entire strength concentrated in her fist, swung it toward the ground. Maximum Impact No intricate mana manipulation. No dazzling techniques. Just a simple punch. Yet, the sheer power contained within her strike surged downward, swallowing even the sound of the explosion as it obliterated everything around it. BOOM! Everything was consumed in its wake. Even Casper’s destructive beams were snuffed out like fireflies before the sun, vanishing without a trace. The resulting shockwave rippled outward, leveling the surroundings. Moments later, when the light dimmed and the aftershocks subsided, Se-Hoon emerged from his refuge in the Netherworld to assess the aftermath. Whistle- The entire town, once under control by Succession, was gone. From those eyes, different powers then converged on Se-Hoon. Whoom! “Ugh!” The eyes twisted the space around Se-Hoon, causing the trajectories of the arrows to shift unpredictably. Flames also ignited wherever the gaze of the eyes landed, and the entire area felt as though time had slowed, making his every movement agonizingly heavy. Heaven Eye had deployed his Cursed Eyes, stolen over decades through hunting countless heroes and demons. And now, all of their powers were being unleashed all at once upon Se-Hoon. Boom! The precision of Heaven Eye’s sniping became sharper, supported by the Cursed Eyes. Furthermore, arrows hidden among the normal ones carried curses such as petrification and freezing, which sporadically detonated, making defense even trickier. Yet even though Se-Hoon was struggling to fend off the barrage, he couldn’t help but feel puzzled. Why is this all they’ve got? His mind racing, Se-Hoon’s gaze shifted to the ground below, where he saw Eun-Ha trying to consume a piece of equipment to recover her strength. However, at that moment, he noticed something strange: an unfamiliar crimson pattern etched into the piece of equipment he had forged for her. “Wait—” Crunch. Eun-Ha bit into the equipment. “...?” Absorbing the new equipment to generate energy, Eun-Ha’s expression suddenly darkened. Something’s... It coalesced into the upper body of a human, eerily resembling Rachel, Casper’s final host. Thump, thump- The crimson gem embedded in its chest pulsed intensely, radiating light. Feeling the newly gained energy filling his new body, Casper’s voice sounded from within the flesh. “Ahh...” Overwhelmed by the immense power coursing through his body, Casper gasped in ecstasy. Decades of accumulated knowledge, visions, and a massive reservoir of energy—all of it was now concentrated in one vessel. Through Eun-Ha, Succession’s project had achieved its ultimate goal: creating an artificial transcendent being—a pseudo-god. “It seems effort truly pays off for those who strive for it.” Having clawed his way to survival, Casper had never imagined his abandoned project would succeed in such a way. Grinning, he turned his gaze toward Se-Hoon, who floated in the sky. “Huff... Huff...” Exhausted from fending off Heaven Eye’s barrage of arrows, Se-Hoon’s breathing was ragged. But while he still had some energy left, his despondent expression revealed his helplessness. Seeing Se-Hoon’s sorry state, Casper smirked. “Don’t take it too hard. Despite the completed succession, Eun-Ha’s will somehow was still intact. “...So that’s how it is.” Watching the scene, Se-Hoon murmured quietly to himself. “Still unstable, huh?” Immediately after those words, Se-Hoon, who had seemed paralyzed moments ago, dashed toward Casper. “You dare—!” Noticing, Casper swung his remaining arm, attempting to intercept him. Squelch! But instead of dodging, Se-Hoon allowed himself to be engulfed by the mass of flesh. “...?” Confused by Se-Hoon’s apparent surrender, Casper froze. He had expected Se-Hoon to resist. Staring as half of Se-Hoon’s body merged into the flesh, Casper furrowed his brow. “What is this nonsense...?” Was it a desperate act? Or some kind of ploy? Yet even as he scrutinized the situation, Se-Hoon offered no reaction, allowing himself to be absorbed further. “Was he just mad...?” Casper sneered. Occasionally, those overwhelmed by fear lost their sanity, but such an outcome felt disappointingly anticlimactic. Turning his focus elsewhere, Casper started retracting his arm, planning his next move. “Huh?” But once again, his arm froze. Before he could comprehend the situation, however, his own fist twisted its orientation, aiming at his face. Boom! His head exploded under the force of his own punch. “!?” Confused, Casper desperately tried to regain control of his fist, realizing far too late what had happened. “I didn’t expect it to be this fun!” From within the pseudo-god, Se-Hoon roared triumphantly, wielding Casper’s own body against him.
