The room smelled of sex and warm skin. Harin lay half-curled on her side, the sheets tangled around her waist, her hair mussed across Joon-ho’s pillow. Her eyes were half-lidded, her lips slightly parted in a dreamy, contented daze. Her whole body felt like it was floating.Still thrumming with tiny pulses of pleasure.Still soft, still slick inside, still stretched just right. She didn’t even bother moving. Just let the afterglow spread through her limbs like sweet wine. Across the bed, Madam Seo lounged naked against the headboard, her legs lightly crossed, chest rising with slow, satisfied breaths. In one hand, she held her slim rose-gold vape, bringing it to her lips for a lazy drag. She exhaled slow, the faint curl of vapor drifting toward the ceiling. Joon-ho sat at the edge of the mattress, one hand resting on Harin’s bare thigh, gently stroking small circles that made her shiver. He watched Madam Seo with that same calm, faintly amused expression. "So," Madam Seo said after a moment, breaking the silence with a slight smirk. "How’s your little clinic doing, hm? This place always feel so... quiet." Joon-ho’s shoulders lifted in an easy shrug. "It runs. Slowly. But that’s fine by me. I never planned to turn it into some high-volume mill." "Mmm." Madam Seo’s smile curved deeper, sly. She tapped ash from the end of her vape. "Honestly, it’s probably better that way. Less fuss. More privacy. I can just... drop by whenever I’m aching — without having to queue behind a dozen other desperate wives." He huffed a small laugh. "That’s one way to look at it." Madam Seo leaned her head back against the bedframe, blowing out another slow curl of vapor. Her eyes half-closed, but her voice grew softer. Bitter. "At least your practice is still more honest than my marriage," she muttered. "Fucking pathetic, isn’t it? I can’t even leave him yet. Not unless he completely trashes the family business — which is unlikely, given how cautious he usually is." She snorted, but it sounded weary. "Though lately... with this nonsense about launching a new crypto wing? Maybe there’s hope for a scandal after all." Harin blinked, surfacing from her hazy afterglow just enough to frown."Wait. Crypto? What firm?" Madam Seo raised a brow. "Hanzenith Capital. Why?" Harin let out a small, startled laugh. She pressed her hand over her mouth, shoulders shaking."Oh my god. I worked there. Well — resigned, thank fuck. That company’s a complete mess right now. Everyone who has a brain is leaving. They’re filling the gaps with fresh grads who don’t know anything. Even the internal systems are failing audits. It’s basically a ticking time bomb." Madam Seo lowered her vape. Her lips parted, eyes widening for a beat — then a slow, wicked smile bloomed across her face."Is that so? Maybe my dear husband will finally manage to fuck something up in a spectacular enough fashion to set me free." Her laugh was low, dark, surprisingly pleased. She stretched her legs out further, the sheets sliding down to reveal the soft curve of her belly and breasts. Joon-ho just shook his head, bemused, while his hand kept lazily tracing patterns over Harin’s thigh. Harin let out a small giggle, still glowing from inside out. "Well... maybe you’ll get your scandal soon. In the meantime, you can always come by here to... cope." Madam Seo shot her a look that was both playful and utterly knowing. "Darling, that’s precisely my plan." For a few moments, they all fell into comfortable silence again. Madam Seo took another slow pull on her vape, eyes dreamy. Harin’s lashes fluttered closed, her lips curling with faint amusement. Joon-ho exhaled, then bent down to press a tender kiss to Harin’s shoulder. It was strangely sweet, after all the filth that had come before.An ordinary touch that said: rest now. You’re safe here. Harin’s heart squeezed. She let out a tiny, breathy sigh, turning her face into his hand as he cradled her cheek. Madam Seo watched them, a lazy smirk still lingering."Mm. Look at you two. So sweet I could gag." But she didn’t move to leave. Didn’t dress. Just settled deeper into the bed, content to bask in their shared warmth — for now.
