"All these houses are equipped with Formations!?" Li Shiren's face showed surprise.
He could understand that some important rooms were arranged with Formations, but why were all rooms furnished with them?
"No wonder those Loose Cultivators were kept outside," Li Zhirui asked, "Uncle Ren, can you break this Formation?"
After observing carefully for a while, Li Shiren sighed and said, "It's not very difficult, but it does require some time."
Li Zhirui was very grateful that he had chosen Li Shiren. Without him, they would have had to forcefully break through the Formations to enter.
Perhaps the first few rooms wouldn't pose a problem, but what about those further inside? Moreover, doing so would consume a great amount of Mana, which, in these dangerous ruins, would be akin to putting oneself in jeopardy.
"Uncle Ren, you focus on breaking the Formation, and Mrs. Ting and I will be on the lookout," Li Zhirui then called out Da Qing and instructed it, "Da Qing, if you sense anyone approaching, attack immediately!"
Although Da Qing was only at the Qi Cultivation Stage, that was sufficient to deal with Loose Cultivators. Moreover, once the Xu Earth Array was broken and the ruins were submerged by the river, the surrounding environment would be even more advantageous for Da Qing.
Li Shiting also released her Spirit Beast, the Green Scale Snake, but in the next instant, it disappeared from Li Zhirui's view.
"Mrs. Ting, can the Green Scale Snake become invisible?" Li Zhirui didn't remember that the Green Scale Snake had such an ability.
Li Shiting explained calmly, "It's not invisibility, it's that Qing Lin has hidden itself."
However, even after Li Shiting's explanation, Li Zhirui could not find where the Green Scale Snake was hiding.
Because everyone had just entered the ruins and was still trying to decipher the Formations in hopes of gaining access to the rooms inside to find inheritances or treasures, battles between Cultivators were relatively rare.
So when Li Zhirui was on guard, no Loose Cultivators approached, allowing Li Shiren to deactivate the Formation calmly.
Li Shiren activated a bright talisman and tossed it inside, instantly dispelling the darkness of the room and revealing the interior to the three of them.
"Is this a resting room for Cultivators?"
A cushion reduced to ashes, a bronze furnace covered with rust, a collapsed wooden bed—upon inspection, there didn't seem to be anything valuable.
Or, perhaps over the long passage of time, many Spiritual Objects had already lost their Spiritual Energy.
After opening a dozen or so rooms, they only found a single storage ring.
"Let's change locations; we're just wasting time now," Li Zhirui said helplessly.
Moreover, as time went by, the inside of the ruins became more dangerous, with many cultivators starting to turn on each other!
They felt it was easier to rob others than to search on their own, as they were guaranteed to get at least the victim's personal belongings if they committed robbery, ensuring they wouldn't come away empty-handed.
Li Zhirui and his party were not worried about encountering danger; in this area dominated by Qi Cultivation cultivators, no one dared to provoke them.
"Where shall we head to next?"
Li Shiren suggested, "How about we go deeper in?"
They had been lucky the first time, finding a storage ring, but judging by the lack of valuables in the dozen or so rooms and the treasures obtained by Loose Cultivators nearby, there seemed to be not much of worth in this area.
Other peripheral areas in different directions were likely to be similar.
"I think that's a good idea," Li Shiting agreed.
Since the two elders agreed, and Li Zhirui thought it unlikely that they would encounter any danger, he also consented, "Alright, let's head a little further in."
"But then again, Uncle Ren, don't you find this ruin rather strange?" Li Zhirui always felt something was amiss but couldn't pinpoint exactly what was wrong.
"It's too safe!" Li Shiting pointed out sharply, addressing the odd feeling Li Zhirui had.
Li Zhirui nodded repeatedly. Although it was their first time exploring ruins, this one was unusually safe. There were no ghost creatures or Devil Beasts; it was completely different from the records of ruins he had read before.
Although the number of living beings in ruins that were buried deep underground was not as high as in Secret Realms, it wasn't so sparse as to have none at all. Moreover, ruins were the places most likely to give birth to ghost creatures, yet they saw none here.

"If you can't figure it out, then don't think about it. If the sky falls, there will be someone tall to hold it up," Li Shiren said when he saw the two deep in thought, standing stationary, prompting him to intervene.
They were just Foundation Establishment cultivators carefully exploring the fringes of the ruins; why bother with such thoughts?
If they had time to think about this, they might as well think about how to obtain more treasures.
